I feel like even though this lineup isn’t great by any means, it’s better than what the majority of the boards initial reaction was to it. Fridays undercard is stacked, and Saturday has some decent options with Tool headlining and hopefully Billy Strings with a long late night set. The 2-9 booking on Sunday is pretty rough - no way around it. I would have thought the Billy booking would have got more love on here than It did, guess he’s a little heavy on the jam/folk side for some. He’s been selling out every show he gets booked for though.
I’m going try to wait and see what the schedule looks like in April and see what tickets are selling for on stubhub before I make a decision on going. Wife has never been - I haven’t since 2016. Being only a 4.5 hour drive away makes it very manageable if we do end up committing.
Putting aside how ridiculous it is to dislike an artist because of taking political stances, the irony is that The Chicks aren't even that political. They made one comment like 20 years ago about George W Bush. That was it. Weird the things that people clench onto.
I listen to this podcast called You're Wrong About and they did a pretty good episode about The Chicks and that controversy! It is indeed very odd.
I personally cannot wait for Billy mfn Strings. Haven’t been able to catch him yet and will be fully diving into his music. Also hoping he gets the late night which stage after Tool and Flume can play the what before Tool thanks in advance scheduling gods.
Tbh schedule for 2019 and 2021 didn’t haven too many conflicts so hoping we don’t have too many this year. Jim James and Prine on at the same time as Odesza was a decent conflict as well as RTJ during tipper and primus. I’m sure Friday night goose/gizz/Disclosure will have some overlap unfortunately but here’s to hoping that’s it.
Did anyone here see Ludacris the last time he performed? He has been one of my favorite rappers my entire life LOL I am really really excited for him.
Yes, and that show was a lot of fun. That was my first Bonnaroo and my first proper day at Bonnaroo, and the first artist I REALLY wanted to see off the lineup at the time.
It was a dance party, he's got hits to fill an hour no problem, granted its been 10 years, but I haven't heard anything bad about him since then either

He has sooo many hits!! Awesome to hear it was fun. I hope he plays when it's dark out. When this drops I'm gonna lose my mind

I couldn’t fully enjoy the show because he was inexplicably scheduled in This and I was way in the back, nearly to the fountain. Plus I was anxiously looking at my watch wanting to get over to What for a Radiohead spot. Plus a large chunk of his set was given to his DJ for non-Luda hype up songs.
If I was going this year I’d definitely give him another chance, hopefully on a bigger stage.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

I've seen some vids where he is crushing and some where he looks a little disengaged. When I saw him live in 2010, it was fun as fuck. Looking at his setlists, there really isn't much to complain about. Almost every song is a banger. Not going to list every song but like...
Welcome to Atlanta Number 1 Spot Southern Hospitality Area Codes Ho Splash Waterfalls Yeah (Usher) Money Maker Pimpin All Over the World Blueberry Yum Yum Whats Your Fantasy Rollout Act a Fool All I Do Is Win Stand Up Dey Know Remix Move Bitch Get Back
plus like 5 other feature hits that I dont care about as much but would be fun af bonnaroo late night. If he's actually Late Night I don't think there's anything stopping it being a great time. Give me Luda into Gecs on Saturday for Bonnaroo weird points.

Banger after banger after banger!!
Man, I tried to give 100 gecs a serious listen after the lineup dropped. I've tried before but usually don't make it through much. I wish I could get into them! Like I get it, I respect it, but it literally hurts my ears to listen to for an extended period of time Love that remix of Ringtone though.

Maybe try again once the new album comes out. From what I can tell from live vids it seems like the new songs are more accessible. But maybe they weird 'em up in the studio before releasing idk.

He was good, but you might not need to show up right on time. His DJ took the first 20mins of the set, Luda only did about 30-40mins once he came out, but he played ALL the hits, lots in medley format.

Maybe he was intimidated by that 1.5 hour set time and needed to fill 20 mins.

I saw him at Beale Street Music Fest and he was everything you’d want. Sounded similar to the radio, plays a whole bunch of hits and he’s Luda so it’s a good time.

chose to check out Indigo de Souza as one of my new Roo artists today, and im quite impressed
this latest album is very solid and she will definitely be on my list for Thursday!
Album is really good and the album art is dope af
definitely agree. i always think its a good move when artists continue using similarly styled album covers that look great and with hers its almost like the covers are part of the story with the child from the first cover seeming to have grown up for the second
