It took a few days for the initial shock to set in but as an indie and edm/house guy this is one of my favorite lineups they've had in years. Might actually be the best EDM lineup I've seen recently. I want to see
Goth Babe Gryffin CloZee The Brook and the Bluff Blu Detiger Nothing Disclosure Lord Huron TWOD Lane 8 Still Woozy Japanese Breakfast Dayglow Arlo Parks Noga Erez Phantoms Flume Porter Robinson CHVRCHES Lany Chris Lake Mt. Joy 100 gecs Nora En Pure Ashe PPPP Nate Rateliff Tash Sultana Coin ATW
30 acts I want to see, but I'm still deciding if I want to go or not, because I feel like I can see most of those anywhere
Check out this lineup reaction I did with Rummy 500 and Jake Jortles! It was my first time seeing it. We were not crazy about the lineup, but I think we still hit a lot of the plusses from our perspective.
man ke$ha woulda been so much fun.
I thought she was coming up on the lineup when Rummy said that, ngl.
2) The size thing is, I think, a key factor here. Coach has *70* more acts on the bill. They’d had to try hard for the lineup not to appear a lot more robust.
Coachella GA ticket is also somewhere between 33-60% more expensive than a Bonnaroo GA at this point. you'd hope to get significant value for the extra cost (which you clearly do).

Joy Oladokun (Saturday, 5th line) was this week's episode of Song Exploder for her song "Look Up". she seems delightful, would be an ideal set for an afternoon lay in the grass.
This is where I’m at after going through the lineup. Obviously this will all change once the schedule comes out. Pleasantly surprised on what I found on Thursday.

I got to still research the undercard which I'll do before the festival. But I'm pretty cool with every day which of course doesn't necessarily mean I'll have shit to see every time slot. I'll see a lot of good stuff, but none of this really has the potential to be anything "all time." Saturday would come the closest if I get to see Tool, some of Billy, Marc, CHVRCHES, Pigeons and Cory Henry.
Thursday: CloZee, Sons of Kemet, The Weather Station, Weval
Friday: Plant & Krauss, Disclosure, King Gizzard, Goose, Isaiah Rashad, Denzel Curry, Arlo Parks, Southern Avenue
Saturday: Tool, Billy Strings, Marc Rebillet, CHVRCHES, Ludacris, Mt. Joy, Slowthai, Said the Sky, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Joy O, Habstrakt, Femi Kuti, Moore Kismet, Cory Henry
Sunday: Stevie Nicks, Roddy Rich, Herbie Hancock, Puscifer, All them Witches, Tash Sultana, G. Jones, Lettuce, Tierra Whack, Bas, Of the Trees, A Hundred Drums
It didn't hit me as to how good this undercard is until I was listening to a lot of the unknown-to-me names on a playlist in the car list night. Some of the fresher names on the EDM lineup are insanely fun.

Any dub, trap, industrial, bass or harder shit? I'm alone at Inforoo on this one, but I really don't like the EDM they have this year at all. Excluding live acts that could be considered EDM, the only act that I like that I've seen is G. Jones. I'm good with A Hundred Drums, Moore Kismet, some of Said the Sky and of the trees. Habstrakt was decent when I saw him and Lucii was okay . Wreckno might be cool, but I'm going to try to catch him at Buku if I don't have a conflict or if I do, maybe just do a pass-by to see if I'm interested enough to see more of the show at Bonnaroo.

Did you hear her whisper "misogynist" earlier in the show lol?

I'm with you...sometimes people forget there are so many different subgenre's within EDM...so yeah there's a good amount of EDM but that doesn't mean its every EDM lovers taste.
I still have to do a lot of digging and hopefully have some nice discovery with this lineup before I consider going. But since there are only a handful of acts I'd currently be really excited about, if they happened to conflict it would be killer. Like if Disclosure and King Gizz conflicted late night Friday (which is a definite possibility), or if any of Marc Rebillet/Chvrches/Porter conflicted late night Saturday (also a good chance).

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I've been pumped about this Tash Sultana booking since the lineup dropped but finally got around to listening to their newest album and am definitely reaffirmed in my excitement
they're going to put on an incredible show I believe

I go back and rewatch this once every few months (same with the Denzel Curry one of him doing Bulls on Parade)
