Neither. Couch. Every year cracked out with multiple TVs and remotes.
Hahah same here. Have you seen BTSM before ? I saw them once 4-5 years ago. It was wild, not sure if I’d enjoy it as much today but it def stood out
Yeah. I saw them a few times. They were always hyped up, but I never really much cared for them. They have a lot of fans who get into their shows though. They always seemed kind of schtiky.

I feel that between the visuals and helmets could def call it a schkit.
Somebody was just blasting some Lettuce here at the crib which reminded me that I keep halfway forgetting Lettuce is on the lineup. That's the band I've seen 3rd most ever (behind Sound Tribe and Umphrey's). Probably at least 20x by now. They are the funkiest act on the lineup and always rule. We have tickets to their Rage Fest (late night jazz fest show) 2 weeks from tomorrow, and I can't wait. That's a fucking groovy, funky, dancy, jammy fucking band. For anyone who doesn't know them, Crush (2015) is a good intro as is Mount Crushmore (2016) and also 2020's Resonate. They are a 6 piece band that's been active for 30 years. Their brass section is also known as the Shady Horns, and they are always live collaborating with other acts. Members of the band have numerous other bands and side projects including Pretty Lights Live, Pretty Lights Analog Future Band, Break Science, Sonic Bloom (trumpeter Benny Bloom's band). They took a bit more of a soulful turn when Nigel Hall joined them. He's a great front-man, keyboardist and singer. Despite how many times I've seen them, I don't think I've ever caught them at Bonnaroo. Here's a show from New York last year anyone unfamiliar with them can skim through and kind of see some of the things they do live (lots of improv of course). They've been a Top 10 [tm] set for me since the lineup announced. I just keep forgetting.

Yeah they seem like a no brainer on Sunday. And that kind of says it all about Sunday.
We usually leave early Sunday, but Ima stay this year. Seeing them - like you said no-brainer for Lettuce, and then G. Jones, Herbie Hancock, Puscifer, ATW, Of the Trees, Tierra Whack and Bas is the plan until the schedule fucks me. I’ve seen them all but Herbie, and I’m really looking forward to him. Anything Stevie brings to the party is lagniappe though it would be great if there were alternatives instead of Roddy, Machine Gun Kelly and Rezz which are mostly weak sauce at the top.
eidt - Sorry for forgetting to include Tash Sultana.
There's enough to stay engaged on Sunday but it's not looking like an all time great Bonnaroo day by even the most optimistic attendee.
I’m going to have fun with the mid card. I totally glazed over Tash this morning and will certainly get me some Tash. I haven’t seen them live yet either though many streams. It’s actually a good musical day if not so much an uppercard for my tastes.
Idk I’m hype for Herbie , Tash , and Stevie. Lettuce , Of the Trees , Tierra Whack , and Puscifer should be solid shows as well. Schedule next week, or the week after that.

Mostly same. I feel like there’s going to be a lot of opportunities to float styles and genres all weekend which I dig doing anyway. I’ll see a bunch of rap, rock, indie, jazz, jam and all. But I just feel like if there was more for me to be excited by on the EDM side and even more so in the upper card in general, shit would have way more potential. There’s also value for those who enjoy seeing country and Americana styles live more than I do.

Yeah I’m a fan of country / Americana so lineup is right up my alley. Never seen Tool before either so jazzed for that. I wish we had Detox Unit then I’d be set lol. The upper card is definitely soft for me too. But 2/3 headliners excite me which isn’t the norm with festivals so I’ll take it. Def a solid bang for my buck.

I'm starting to wonder with ticket sales being as lousy as they are if they're considering making an add or two on the scale of Arcade Fire at Coachella.

coachella has stealth added acts when they've released the schedule before and i don't understand why bonnaroo doesn't do the same thing on the years they get decent last minutes adds. i remember in 2015 they added kacey musgraves and d'angelo a couple of months after the lineup was released that was fucking insane

How bad are ticket sales?
I'd already suspected that they weren't great since they had to go back on their word about the Ambassador / Street Team thing and have been pitching stuff like gas card giveaways. But I've heard from some folks in town and others this past week I trust that if things don't pick up it's going to be 2016 levels of attendance.
