I have to admit that hate watching the 100 gecs Coachella stream… won me over? Idk, mememe has been stuck in my head since then and I’m finding myself really wanting to go to their set now 🤣

I noticed earlier today they’re opening up for NIN in Philly this May. That peaked my interest in them.
I know y’all don’t believe the what pod dudes but Barry did say it was like 5-10 days out last week. So we shall see. Shoot I def hope it’s this or next week worst case

Yeah, he had said 5-10 days on April 20, so that puts it at this week — if he’s right. Bonnaroo has tended to communicate Tuesdays and Thursdays around noon Central. I’m hoping they release it Thursday and signal it tomorrow. (I know nothing though. Could just as easily be early May.)
I feel like if we don't get it this week, then it might be a while. I'm probably wrong but I'm just thinking about the new campground set additions, building out a schedule that can sort of flow with the actual lineup has gotta be hard

People on this website can build out these schedules in like an hour. They've had months. Probably just takes a while to get artists to agree with their set times and at this point they probably will just wait until payment plans are final so people can't cancel for a refund when they post the inevitable Goose/Gizz conflict 😂
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?

They're making room for the two additional headliners that they just booked.

Don't they build the lineup based on the schedule tho? I think it was when the What podcast interviewed the people who made the lineup that they said they book with slots in mind. It's my understanding that they have the schedule then work backwards in filling in artists. If that's true then they probably have the schedule done before the lineup is dropped.
Lettuce put out a new single last week for their upcoming album Unify scheduled to drop June 3rd. The first cut released in March was Gravy Train. That one was super funky and sounds like Lettuce. The newest one is more a nod to R&B with Nigel Hall fronting it and with Vocals - Everything’s Gonna Be Alright.
Gravy Train
J. Cole released his Dreamville set which I must have missed if they streamed that festival. I only skimmed through it with about 30 seconds total view time. So no judgment call from me would be appropriate other than that his crowd seemed into it.

I could be wrong but did Barry say he knew Forsure it was coming out? I thought he said he reached out and usually when he does it magically comes out within 5-10days. I don’t remember if he said he got confirmation that it was.

I mean I’m in the minority on the boards and kinda believe what they say and he did say he reached out / someone reached out. So I’m hoping it’s true. The person who posted about the payment plan ending Friday makes me think it’ll be next week but hoping my guts wrong cause I want this dang schedule.
Conflicts I’ve given up on are whatever is during Gizz and Flume. I’m really hoping that Billy Strings isn’t during the Superjam, besides the superjam in 13 (my first roo) and the Petty superjam I’ve not been excited for one as much as I am for this one. Also really hoping that Disclosure and War on Drugs don’t conflict.

No. They really don't seem to know anything for sure. Like, on a recent episode they appeared to be under the impression that the Roo Cloos are a recent phenomenon.
I appreciate them taking the time to dive into one of my favorite topics but they also seem woefully undereducated on a festival that they've been attending for almost two decades. They need a real time fact checker just to correct their misstatements.
Honestly, it's a little frustrating that they have the resources to really explore the festival and they spend a lot of time talking about how they spend most of their time in their campsites drinking PBR.

Yeah the few times I've listened to the podcast I can only listen for about five mins before I get pissed off at how little they know about the fest they made a podcast about. I feel like 95% of us on this forum could do a better job
You have to remember that Barry isn't a full time festival reporter, he does all kinds of entertainment and arts for the Chattanooga newspaper. He knows a lot about festival stuff and how Roo comes together, but he's got a lot else going on and isn't as obsessive as many of us are. That's why they get interviews with the people that do know firsthand because it is their full time job.
I'm upfront about what I do know and don't know on our thing, and I'll be the first to tell you Barry knows way, way, way more than me when it comes to most of that stuff.

Have you heard anything in regards to schedule release?

No, same thing Barry did. I was kind of guessing we'd get a tease about it today or tomorrow and the schedule would drop on Thursday.
Bonnaroo seems to be doing a lot of things relatively last minute again this year. Most of the people I've been talking with who are organizing things seem to keep kicking various cans down the road, which is a little anxiety inducing given that we're around seven weeks out now.

I'm a full time Sponsorship Salesperson for a sports team and know 2,000 times more than they do about Bonnaroo. No excuses.
I mean I don't doubt that, but running a news platform or comms product isn't just what you know. It's also who you know, and how practiced you are at communicating what you do know.
