Doja is my partners #1 that day so I’ll be seeing all of her and Ye for sure. My biggest hopes are being able to see Denzel Curry, Fred Again.. and Jamie xx but I’m not holding my breath
Anything I would really be missing out on with this hypothetical schedule?
Based on this we've got a LOT of overlap in who we want to see. The Hu, Beabadoobee, and Run The Jewels stick out as three things to check out if you've not yet given them a chance.
I feel more confident about him playing the Sahara than I do Black Coffee at this point. That said, I’m guessing both will play there with their billing
I haven’t been able to get into DJ Koze, I find him kinda boring, which is weird because I love Four Tet/Jon Hopkins/Floating Points/etc. I like Crumb but I’ve seen them a couple times already so likely a skip. Will check out The Marias!

There's a handful of good live acts not highlighted, but based on who I've seen before and consider to be elite tier live performers: 1) Maggie Rodgers 2) Denzel Curry 3) Run The Jewels
Never seen them live before, but I'm personally excited to see for the first time: Snoh Aalegra, The Marias, Crumb, Giveon
It was for Mojave in 2020, atleast that's what we have back in the 2020 thread. This was the source from the thread imgur.com/a/jTIQc85
Holy fuck I'm actually so dumb. Okay let's work on moving him out then.
He has gotten substantially bigger over the past two years. If you move him to the Mojave he needs to be going against someone big IMO. I feel he’s the artist the Reddit crowd is most excited about this year.

What was the motivation to put Idles on so early on outdoor? Feels like a missed opportunity for an absolute barn burner in Mojave later in the day. Acts like Mika or Bishop Briggs taking up those prime spots doesn’t seem like a good use of valuable real estate (my opinion of course)

I think Idles out of all the rock acts is most likely to play earlier. Especially if you consider that RATM was scheduled to originally play this day. Obviously they could pivot and play them later now, but I think that will significantly hurt their crowd. Putting Idles on around 4 or 5 makes the most sense IMO. I’d recommend we switch them with the Marias and slightly adjust the Sonora as needed to ensure something like Amyl doesn’t conflict.
I know he's billed relatively high, but does Still Woozy really need to be in such a prime slot on the Outdoor? I feel like he'd be much better in the Mojave somewhere just based on what his shows are like slowthai is too big for the Gobi in my opinion I personally don't feel Giveon will be on the main stage I think/hope BROCKHAMPTON will close the Sahara or Outdoor I think Japanese Breakfast plays later and in the Mojave, she played that early in the Gobi in 2018 Rina Samayawa is getting bigger by the day, def think she'll play later than 2pm Idk what to do with Griselda, but that early in the Gobi feels weird since Conway + Westside already did that in 2018. I really hope Coachella moves them to a different day.

I think mid-afternoon Outdoor is perfect for them (thinking of that Gizz show in 2017) but maybe a touch later than 2:45. I think they'll be done before 5.

Lol no worries, think we look to Slowthai or Purple Disco Machine to fill in a Sahara slot on that day with Lane 8 coming out.
When taking a look back at the 2020 thread, we also had a couple other confirmations for 21 Savage playing the Main, and Omar Apollo playing the outdoor, a little weaker confirmations than Lane 8 (I think they just came from people on reddit?), but we had them on those stages in the 2020 thread nonetheless.

When Still Woozy played the Sonora in 2019 (billed on the bottom line of his day) it had to have been the most packed the Sonora was all weekend. I would be pretty shocked if he plays a tent after his huge rise over the past couple years.
I can move Slowthai if people think he really is too big for the Gobi (which personally I don't)
Giveon is one of the most streamed acts playing the festival this year. Not saying he HAS to play the Main, but I would be insanely surprised if he is anywhere but Main or Outdoor.
I don't see them putting Brockhampton against the headliner, especially considering it'll be their last show.
A bunch of people have suggested this lately, so I went and put J Breakfast at 7 in the Gobi and moved everyone down, then swapped Arlo Parks and Masego.
I'm not sure of a solid way to make Rina later, but I'm open to suggestions.
We currently have Griselda at 4, which is much better than when they opened the Gobi at 1. It's the best slot that we can give them without having them conflict with one of Sunday's big rap acts.

PDM makes the most sense to me personally. Yeah, I wasn't sure just how much we wanted to look at previous 2020 confirmations, but I have no problem using them as "light confirmations" until we hear new/updated info on their 2022 slots.

I don't see them putting The Marias that early, in order to give Idles the better slot. Marias are quite a bit bigger than Idles and will 100% draw a larger crowd. I can definitely work on moving Idles, but I don't want to put Marias (or Mika for that matter, who I believe will also have a much bigger crowd than Idles) at 2.
But hey, if I'm totally off here, let me know and we'll talk lol
