Just so weird that Friday and Sunday are crammed pack with Yuma artists when Saturday might have multiple artists with extended two hour sets. I feel like somebody has to be moving to Saturday.
Framework is hosting Purple Disco Machine (along with Honey Dijon, Dixon, Damian Lazarus and Michael Bibi) for GV Presents April so that probably means he’s playing the Yuma.

Why does this mean he’s playing Yuma?
Framework and Sound are affiliated, and Sound books the Yuma.
Masego/Rina/Lacy/Nilufer/Sama is a hate crime against me.
And the flume/disclosure/Stromae overlap is also annoying
I'm worried about whoever Stromae ends up overlapping with but it's inevitable he'll have a conflict somewhere. But I'd be a little surprised by a Flume/Disclosure conflict. I know it's only about half overlapping in our mocks now, though.
Flume/Brockhampton conflict is what im most nervous about, since those are my top 2 that day. ive seen Flume twice but BH ive seen 6, but i’m doing BH no matter what for the rarity and how much their music has impacted me

Wouldn’t be surprised if JID comes out for Doja so wouldn’t surprise me if he’s on early. Like outdoor/main early.
If we move him out of the Sahara, we have to move someone in, and I have no idea who that would be. I think the best option if we think JID shouldn't conflict with Doja is just switch him with RtJ.

Right there with ya boss, BH I've seen 5 1/2 times (left their set early at Lolla) but this set is non-negotiable. Don't care who they're up against.
Just saw Ela Minus open for Caribou and I’m perplexed as to why we have her in the Sonora? Feels like the wrong spot.
Was at the Fox for this last night too. Such an incredible show! Would love to catch Caribou again at Coachella but feel like Saturday is going to have a lot of Conflicts.

Yeah, my thinking was that seeing them last night would resolve conflicts but instead it just reinforced them as a must see lol
if Purple Disco Machine is definitely in the Yuma, I would think he would play later against bigger draws. Chris Lake played at 8pm in 2019 and PDM might be even bigger right now than he was

is it possible some of the assumed Yuma acts should be moved to Sahara? Not that I know who we take off there / shorten sets for

Yeah, you're probably right. I knew he was huge, but I didn't realize he was 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify huge. Moved him to a later Yuma slot on the clashfinder.

Disagree about him being bigger than Chris Lake at the time. He’s still only billed as the 6th highest Yuma act that day and it’s pretty unlikely he’ll play after the names on the 4th line. Sure he’s got Spotify plays but his social media followers fall behind Peggy Gou, The Martinez Brothers and Damian Lazarus. Spotify listeners aren’t the end all be all for popularity like people think it is.
It’s not like he instantly sold out his Localchella show either, tickets are still available for that. Remember that set times are less about how we feel about crowd size and more about what the artist and their team will ask for. For example, Damian Lazarus, Honey Dijon and Dixon have higher ticket prices for their Sound shows. That probably suggests they’ll ask for a later time than someone like Purple Disco Machine.

Putting PDM in the Yuma would be dumb. He’s not a Yuma artist, his sets are corny fun and just scream afternoon Sahara to me. The fact that he’s got a ton of people logging on to Spotify to listen to his singles, but not promoting him in the other metrics is kind of proof of that.

Eh he kinda floats between. His singles don't seem like Yuma material but you could say that about other Yuma artists as well. It's interesting that his bigger more pop-oriented singles aren't among the top songs on Beatport (which is more focused towards DJing). The type of events he's played in that past are certainly more Yuma-like shows too.
He's not the headiest thing in the world but he's pretty firmly Yuma IMO. He gets booked at that sort of show all the time, that's the scene he came up through, and while his recent singles are big on streaming, it's not like he's this massive crossover artist.
The last couple of years, people here (and Reddit FWIW) have a couple of artists that folks get attached to and want to see out of the Yuma, and talk themselves into it, but they never are. Monolink, Stephan Bodzin, Cirez D, Fatboy Slim off the top of my head. He'll be in the Yuma.
