I'm going to go ahead and say Big Sean closes the Sahara since he's listed first on the poster
In the past though the biggest artist does not often close the Sahara. Last year Kayzo and NGHTMRE closed out the Sahara on two days and they weren't remotely the biggest billed act to play. Especially if they are playing against a headliner. I think Big Sean is an OK option because (a) he's not going against the headliner, and (b) there is a big EDM act on the main stage so it won't be an EDM act, but honestly if it's City Girls closing out the Sahara instead I wouldn't be remotely surprised.
A lot of time the biggest Sahara acts end up in the second or third to last slots, not the last.
Man, I've seen Hot Chip at least 5 times and not once seen a dud. Didn't think it was possible.
Just don't ever see them at Lollapalooza with an antsy crowd camping for The Weeknd.
Was it really that bad? I remember not being thrilled they were playing in the middle of the afternoon but don’t remember anything about the crowd at all.

Honestly kind of reminds me when I saw LCD at Coachella in 2010. Was right up by the stage around a lot of campers for Jay-Z. Great music, but lots of people just standing around awkwardly, waiting for what’s next. Maybe I was just in the wrong place for those sets because front and center wasn’t it.
still really think you need to swap Phoebe and Still Woozy on the schedule
I can't envision Phoebe going on that early. I'd be shocked if she's not either ending or starting around sunset, which is 7:30ish. Still Woozy's spot is close, but not close enough.

7:30 isn't when sunset starts, but rather the time when the sun has officially gone down. This is from MO's Main Stage 2018 set, where she started at 6:35, 10 minutes before we have Phoebe scheduled for. If you're looking for a sunset set rather than a night set, starting at 6:45 makes more sense than at 7:30.
Compare this to The War on Drugs first song on the Outdoor at 7:30 in 2018. It goes from sunset to almost completely dark on just their first song:

i mean push the times around if you want, i just think shes gonna fit better on the outdoor than the main

Yeah, I was going off of the technical definition which is the moment when the sun is fully disappeared beyond the horizon; I think the official sunset time is ~7:30. Either way, I think we're on the same page, and I think where we have her now makes sense.
Wildcard prediction as we get closer - King Gizz on the main in the day. Just like Bonobo in 2017 - it's what nobody wants but I feel like it could happen. My second wildcard prediction that I've mentioned before - City Girls closes the Sahara.
Not expecting anybody to agree or that we'll change it, just wanted to throw out some wild picks because hey, why not.

Only reason I don’t see KG during the day is they already played an afternoon set on the outdoor. But it wouldn’t shock me!

Just noticing this, but why do you have everything starting so late? It's most conspicuous in the Sahara (there's usually music starting there no later than 12:30, sometimes as early as 11/11:30), but even in the tents you're later than any other year in recent memory.

We do this every year and it's because we have all tents running to the end of the night when half the time these days tents stop early for whatever reason and there is less headliner competition than we predicted there will be. Either the Gobi or Mojave did not run til end time Fri/Sun of last year, who could have predicted the weirdness with Saturday night main being shut early, the Gobi being empty for last hour, the Mojave being empty for last two hours, etc.
Also the real tent openers are often random little non-poster names.

Thoughts on adding 88 rising to the Saturday set times? I know I brought this up a while back, but they continue to be listed under artists for Saturday so I think it makes sense that they are going to be given an hour long medley feature. They aren’t being listed under artist just for having a market on one day of the fest IMO.

I keep forgetting about this.
Yeah I guess we should do this huh? Thoughts on how we should make it happen?
EDIT: If 88 Rising is indeed playing Saturday, I think we gotta put em in the Sahara. It's the only stage that feels even remotely possible, and considering we have Miane starting at 2:45, I think that would make the most sense.
With them in the Sahara, should they be before or after Rich Brian?

If you look at 2019's times, you'll notice that most of the opening acts for each stage aren't acts that are on the poster. For example, the first poster act to play the Sahara on Friday 2019 was Anna Lunoe at 2:40, compared to our mock which has DJ Lord at 2:10. Saturday 2019 the first poster act to play the Sahara was Ookay at 2:45, and then Sunday was Shallou at 3. If anything, we have the first Sahara poster act too early, not late.
