My takeaway from Bruce showing up at Glasto is a warm up for his own large festival set in the next year. There is not a single other explanation that makes sense.

he also showed up to Paul's MetLife shows, feel like that's just carry over from Paul doing something new w a buddie

Oh, I’m just goofing! Just gonna keep trying to speak it into existence, but he definitely doesn’t fit in with the direction of the fest. Only thing he really has going for him is the insane resale value of everything he touches. Especially with Clarence gone.

The members of Rage Against the Machine did not speak at all during the performance. Instead, messages, photos, and video were displayed on a background video screen. One message read, “abort the Supreme Court,” while another noted the financial cost of forced birth. There were also images of a helicopter descending on a group of refugees, a border patrol agent posing with a drone, and police officers with their weapons drawn while detaining a man.
Does this imply that we're not getting the album that was supposed to drop in 2020 with My Room on it? And we're getting something totally different? Hm.. maybe we'll get both. Both would be nice.
If not for Coachella, then Desert Trip? Why leave out California entirely?
Really weird that he’s hitting the pacific NW and skipping all of CA. Like, he could be playing Desert Trip and/or Outside Lands but I wouldn’t think either would preclude him from scheduling a spring show in CA?
Supre - I doubt he adds another NJ date; already a lot of tri-state area shows on the tour routing.
It seems like this first leg is all about boosting demand in secondary markets and then he's going to come back in Sept/Oct and do a huge NYC stadium run, Chicago stadium, SF stadium, and then do most of the Southwest around (probably) Desert Trip. Or just pivot to 2-3 LA shows if Desert Trip isn't happening.
I was always joking about Bruce, but if he was at 0.1% chance before those tour dates, its more like 0.2% now (or 0.05% to 0.1%). Is it more likely the band takes a two week break between New Jersey on 4/14 and Barcelona on 4/28? For sure. But it is a strange perfect Coachella sized gap with no west coast dates announced. If those were like, Dua Lipa's dates, we'd be penciling her in.

Very likely he just copies his last release and just drops two albums at once.
Can someone ask the old lady from Egypt what she thinks of Lana Del Rey headlining Coachella so we can know whether the festival has redeemed its reputation as a laughingstock worldwide

I never thought he would play but what else is there to discuss.

My wife and I are just starting to try having a kid and I swear to god if she gets pregnant in the next month or two and THIS is the year Coachella books Bruce I will be apoplectic (not at her obviously and also will be overjoyed as well). But I really don’t think he’s playing the fest - Desert Trip and maybe Outside Lands make way more sense.

Dont think GV would let OSL get him. It would sort of cheapen the experience. He prob has all AEG shows around DT.

If DT is happening then perhaps not Outside Lands, but I think one of the two make sense. OSL has always catered more to his style of legacy act and I’m surprised they haven’t booked him already at some point.
But if he’s not playing both, that just makes it weirder that he’d come through the Pacific Northwest and skip all of CA.
