So did that Rolling Stone article just leak Drake for Coachella?
I said this on reddit but to copy it here, sounds to me like it might be a side party type thing, not headlining. It specifically says he’s eschewing big headlining sets as well, so those two ideas are directly conflicting in the article. Who knows, maybe Madonna whispered in his ear: “in the dance tent next time” when he brought her out for that weirdness.

Drake is taking his new album on the road, with a handful of small dates next month in Europe, Rolling Stone can exclusively announce. The run will see Drake playing four shows across some of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations, eschewing big stadiums and arenas for beach clubs and nightclubs.
The outing kicks off Aug. 11 at the SantAnna Beach Club in Mykonos, before heading to St. Tropez, Marbella and ending in Ibiza at the 7000-capacity Ushuaia open-air beach club. Reps for the rapper have teased a possible fifth show in Cannes or Monaco.
South African DJ Black Coffee, who executive produced the rapper’s latest album Honestly Nevermind, will join Drake for select dates. The European jaunt is produced by a newly-formed joint venture between LA hospitality kingpins, the h.wood Group, and event production company, Uncommon Entertainment, and the club dates are meant to capture the vibe and feel of the new album, which leans heavily on house, techno, and electronic music. Reps described the shows as “a series of parties” to Rolling Stone.
In addition to Black Coffee, organizers have teased more “special guests” to be announced later, with different DJs and artists expected to pop up at each location.
While Drake has played some of the biggest venues in the world, with massive sets and stages, the shows in Europe are expected to be a decidedly more intimate affair, giving fans a chance to get a little more up close and personal with the superstar rapper. Organizers say the club dates will kick off a string of similar “moments” promoting Honestly Nevermind, with Drake expected to bring the small concert to events like New York Fashion Week, Art Basel, the Super Bowl, and Coachella.

I'm expecting this being a party outside of the polo fields like at that airport or the Soho house, not something officially associated with Coachella like on the lineup. I don't see how putting Drake, Black Coffee and other DJs on a stage other than the main wouldn't be a complete clusterfuck.
I guess something like this could maybe work too, basically theme the Yuma for one of the nights for this. The Sunday Yuma lineup in 2020 definitely had a Burning Man-type vibe to it with Bedouin, Monolink, Satori, Adam Port, Sahar Z and Guy Laliberté (I'm guessing he was the one responsible for this). They could maybe do the same by including Black Coffee, Gordo, Keinemusik plus some Jersey club DJs like UNIIQU3, LSDXOXO and DJ Sliink.
Case for Paramore: I think this Fall tour is just a mini warm up based off of their old music, build more buzz by putting on great shows, create demand with the small amount of availability. I don't think their new album will drop until 2023. I could see Coachella being the debut show for it. Headliner, co-headliner, or sub, I'd just be happy to get them their. But I can def see them being a Friday headliner though.

Theyve done underplay tours before. This aint their first rodeo doing it. Theyll be within the first 5 names on a respective day and either get main stage in the evening or close Outdoor with 75 mins. Theyll headline almost everything else they get booked for, though. Be a top 8 at Lolla or headline Riot, late night Roo, Shaky, Boston Calling, Lib, Gov ball, Bamboozle. The ACL billing didnt help their case at all for being able to headline Coach if it came to that. Its just good that theyll hit multi genre fests and not just be stuck to a couple of niche ones
Prime Mojave or Outdoor spot? Their Radio City shows a decade ago (holy shit) are still all time favorites despite the weak ass crowds.
Videos of their Coachella crowd looked ROUGH. But I'll never forget those Radio City Music Hall gigs.
Cruel World 2.0 version plz
Pulp Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds My Bloody Valentine Suede Primal Scream Noel Gallagher Supergrass Slowdive
I don't remember the crowd being that small for Pulp, but I was in front of the soundboard so sometimes it's hard to tell. I'd at least want to see them on the Outdoor but I'll see them wherever they play lol

I feel like late night Mojave would be perfect personally. Also would be super down for the aforementioned version of Cruel World.

They might as well just call it Rough Trade's Greatest Hits or something. And would rather have Liam cause he will literally just do 10 Oasis songs in a row to end his set cause he knows what people want.
Pulp had a solid crowd and Frank Ocean has a barely full Gobi, think about that for sec.
