I didn't say she was done with music forever, but I did say it was stupid to keep buying into "she's in the studio so she's got music coming!" for the last like 4 years until there was something legitimate to it. I stand by that. Those takes were dumb. A stadium tour leaked by a reasonably legitimate source? Now I give you permission to put her on mocks and believe it might happen.

I also think Rihanna being done with music was mostly facetious. Everyone knew one day we would get a Rihanna album. But when she’s a billionaire with 4 different business and doing philanthropy work people got tired of the “OMG she’s making a reggae album with party next door” rumors every 3 months lol. Hell if Taylor said yes to the super bowl we would still be having this convo until she just popped up on the Coachella lineup. The Avon Lady who cried wolf at this point

It wasn't stupid to think one day she would finish it, it was stupid to see "Rihanna's in the studio" and assume it would be finished that year and expect her to play Coachella immediately. Because that happened over and over and over, for years, with no music being released. People overreacted to those rumors was my point. Substantial rumors of an actual tour are different.

Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift, Cam, Maren Morris, Gillian Welch, Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakam and Orville Peck are both out because they’ll be playing at some country music festivals.
