The first and only time I’ve ever eaten at a White Castle was on my way to my first and only Bonnaroo. It was total garbage. White Castle, I mean. Not Bonnaroo.

I would argue McDonald’s is one of the most reliable. Certainly not the best but not the the worst here by any means.
Reliably awful in my experience. Also most of these are actually pretty fire. Krystal should be next to go food-wise but I would be happy to kill chik fil a too. Not gonna act like they don't make good food, but Zaxbys is way better and not openly homophobic
Do you really have Steak n Shake drive thrus? I've only been to sit downs. There was one on the south side (east bound) rest stop at Midway (mile 147) on the PA Turnpike but they got rid of it maybe a year before the pandemic hit.

I don't think they're amazing doughnuts but I do think there are about 15 worse restaurants on this survivor.
yeah I guess when I think drive thru I'm thinking like road trip where I need quick sustenance that I can eat while driving. That's almost never donuts, which is why I voted KK.
White Castle is one of the few places I'll drive out of my way for. In N Out is good but way overrated. Starbucks is incredibly consistent and their cold brews are delicious. McD's is pretty offensive but will do in a pinch.

Chick FIL A charges me less for ordering a breakfast sandwich sans egg, and also has viable options for my gluten free vegetarian wife (and charges less for the salad without chicken). But we don't tell her family, and we donate double our order to the LGBT Center in Central PA. I don't know if that makes it better, worse, or neutral. But it's one of the only places on the list she can eat.

Fries are consistently undercooked, cold and/or underseasoned. Chicken way too greasy. Their Texas Toast is also bad. I guess if you just want to drink their sauce it's good.

I'll give you the fries that's fair. I actually never get the fries cause I loved the pub chips but they discontinued those so I'm a little annoyed with them. I honestly don't get fast food very often at all and Zaxbys probably makes up 50% of that
But re: the rest I don't agree. And I do drink the sauce

When I loved in Knoxville, Sonic was the freaking Taj Mahal. Then I loved back north, Sonic came to Western PA like a year later...and all of them closed within 5 years. They were just awful. They even screwed up the chili cheese Coney which is damn near impossible.

The thing is that all of those chicken finger places are the same - Zaxby's, canes, I think macdougals is one? We had two Sawyers in Knoxville, one on campus, one out Kingston Pike, and I ate there regularly.
sometimes I think "I shouldn't pass too much judgment on this because I'm just not southern" before remembering I spent a significant portion of my childhood in Virginia and still have not heard of this shit. now that I have remembered that, I feel like I am within my rights to ask: where the fuck is Culver's

It made the shortlist, but I dumped it along with Zaxby's, Raising Cane's, and Church's Chicken. Didn't want too many chicken joints, though in hindsight I probably have too many burger places.

I’m voting Sonic every round because I fucking hate their ads with every fiber of my being. I don’t even have cable and I hate Sonic to an irrational level because of their ads.
