TV Lounge on Friday is always a solid move. Heard great things about the venue, and RA always curates great lineups.
i've trended more towards the techno artists the couple years i've gone, and TV Lounge always looks a bit housier to me, but i'm ready to allow more house into my life now.
the only venue i'm not interested in returning to is The Works. went to the opening party last year and it was pretty cramped in there, small venue with lots of choke points. i get why it's a classic space, it's super grimy and pretty dark. but tangent is also grimy and dark but it is easier to navigate with bigger rooms.
Magic Stick is probably my number 1 venue here with TV being 2nd as far as electronic goes. Grasshopper is cool as well, but it’s in Ferndale and not in the city.
the building The Works is located in has been sold and the new owners are not renewing their lease, so they will be relocating. and they are doing a gofundme to help with relocation costs?
i won't be donating because that would be ridiculous, just posting because it's Movement after party venue news.

being honest with myself based on the couple years i've been to movement i'm much more likely to be at the Pyramid or Underground stage during a headliner. Underground in particular has consistently had must see artists closing every day of the fest:
2017
Function (live) Sterac Ben Sims b2b Truncate
2018
Ectomorph (live) Ø [Phase] DJ Stingray
i was at all of those for at least a significant portion of the set, except for Sterac which I missed completely for Dixon (and I still regret that even though Dixon was great).

not that you can get any stronger confirmation then directly from the band, but FWIW I posted about the Orbital confirmation over on the Movement 2019 facebook page, which is kind of an "unofficial/official" discussion group, in that it's not the official Movement facebook page, but does have people from Paxahau associated with it.
When you make a post there it has to be approved, typically my posts are approved in minutes, but I posted about Orbital yesterday and my post hasn't been approved yet. they probably don't want people releasing that information early which is fine.
Talked to my girlfriend and friends/family in Detroit, think I'm gonna make this happen next year instead of the Indy 500. I'm gonna apologize in advance for asking annoying questions in the coming months. Is Gesaffelstein big enough to headline this thing?
Maybe I should consider a Detroit visit in addition to a Knoxville one.
I would fucking cum all over my own face if those 3 were there, but I'm honestly not sure if Movement's main stage is suitable for The Prodigy scale wise.
