LSD is incredible, put a star next to that one. Those guys are all amazing and the live show is next level (if anything, Function is the rookie in that group, which should say something):
Marie Davidson's album from last year is really good too, if you haven't heard it. Her live show is off the walls in a good way.
Used to be 2 dudes, now it's just one I believe. Their sets were a really great time, they were my ex-girlfriends favorite group for a while and constantly touring. I saw them about 8 times but never after it became a solo project.

Maybe it's cause I was just looking at Dekmantel's lineup which is just unfair, but this is kinda disappointing to me.
I had the exact same thought. This is basically the only electronic music oriented festival left in the US, and compared to Dekmantel it is very underwhelming.
I just found it on reddit, I don't have any scoops lol. I'm more of a noob to this scene than a lot of people on this board, but I think this would be an awesome weekend if it's real.
I feel a bit let down by it too. Pretty mainstream overall (and I'm not someone who complains about that). The best way I can describe is that it just doesn't look the reason I make the trip to Detroit.
I know it's crazy to pick out any single DJ you like for Movement, but some interesting mid-cards like Objekt, Enrico Sangiuliano, Hernan Cattaneo even Mallgrab would've done a lot for my opinion of the overall lineup.
Also Claude Von Stroke basically headlining two years in a row is crazy... but I'm sure that as I dig a bit deeper I'll flesh out my own personal lineup. Then of course there's always afters.

the lineup leak has been deleted from reddit twice, and the linked picture above is dead now. so it's probably real. the movement reddit isn't an official subreddit but i'm guessing somebody from paxahau reached out to the reddit mods and asked them to take it down as a courtesy. also it hasn't shown up on the facebook group where all posts need to be approved. the facebook group is semi-official.
the key to happiness as an american music festival fan is never compare coachella to primavera and never compare movement to dekmantel.
there is some techhousey and even bass funk music on the leaked lineup, but also plenty of techno, and really movement is about techno. not enough techno was the biggest complaint from the lineup last year, and i think they've remedied that. i love experimental and weird electronic shit like everyone else, but what i'm looking for at movement is lots of techno.
and as always the afters will offer plenty to fill in any gaps in the lineup.

There are a lot of great "non-mainstream" acts on here but I'm actually impressed with most of the more popular acts they got. Get Real, Disclosure, and Griz are perfect for my taste.

for sure. not excited about Griz but I'm down for a Disclosure DJ set, I'd imagine it will be super-housey and fun. and Get Real looks great to me. Never heard of this collab before the poster, and I like both of them, be interested to see what they do.

I love Clause and Green Velvet individually but together they always kill it. I've seen them twice and they completely changed my wife's opinion of house. Griz is also one of my favorites DJs and I'm excited it'll likely be something different than his typical live show stuff. The more he gets into the "live band" the less I like his music/shows.

Thanks for posting lists of artists you're excited for 3post1jack1 and Fozzie Bear, you gave me some names to check out. If anyone else wants to posts artists to check out that'd be appreciated!
I saw Audion do a DJ set at Mamby on the Beach one year and it wasn't nearly as much fun as expected, hoping this one is either a Live show or a just better overall. Also, I saw a little bit of Get Real on NYE 2016 and it wasn't amazing either
I'd be excited for Amelie Lens, Carl Craig, Danny Brown, Disclosure, DJ Bone, DJ Nobu, Floorplan, Saundersons, LSD, Octave One, Stephen Bodzin, Channel Tres, Umfang and Volvox.

Id say today's lineup release verifies the leak. So my No Research Done List looks pretty much like this:
Very Excited: Amalie Lens, ANNA, Charlotte De Witte, DJ Tennis (this dude crushes it every time I've seen him), Heidi, Kenny Larkin (outplayed Art Dept at his own after last year), LSD, Maya Jane Coles, Nastia, Patrick Topping, Tale of Us, Channel Tres
Somewhat Excited: DJ Nobu, Floorplan, Heiko Laux, John Acquaviva (Hawtin's Plus 8 co-founder), Madlib, Richie Hawtin, Soul Clap, Stephan Bozdin, Yeaji, Marie Davidson, UMFANG
I'd be excited for Amelie Lens, Carl Craig, Danny Brown, Disclosure, DJ Bone, DJ Nobu, Floorplan, Saundersons, LSD, Octave One, Stephen Bodzin, Channel Tres, Umfang and Volvox.
Yall should check out Channel Tres for sure.
Channel Tres, DJ Nobu, and Orbital are the real get this year IMO.
In the four-or-so months since "Controller" and Channel's subsequent and equally polished single, "Jet Black," debuted, each thick and louche and leaning deep into the bottom end, his name has been popcorning, drawing attention from streaming services (Spotify, Pandora and Apple Music all noticed, because their livelihoods depend on recognizing "bubbling" artists), radio stations from L.A. to Ireland, publications from Pitchfork to Pigeons and Planes, a shout from bon vivrant L.A. journalist Jeff Weiss. Even Elton John got hip. ("I tripped out, I was like what the f***," Channel says of finding out The Rocket Man was listening. "I woke up and I just played 'All Of The Lights' by Kanye West and just danced in my f*****' living room.")
