Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Also, you can do what I do and stay in Canada for MAJOR money savings on hotels. (Assuming you have a passport).
There is a tunnel shuttle that picks up/drops right next to Hart Plaza every 30min for $5 each ride, and runs til 1AM every night so easy to catch after the festival ends every night.
EDIT: Nevermind, I see you're Canadian so the passport wont be an issue. I'd definitely consider Windsor. The only bad part is if you want to hit up after parties every night, you'd have to stay out til at least 5AM before the tunnel bus starts running again.
I will see what the gang says but I am trying to get my Permanent Residency and my work visa is attached to my irish passport. Dont fancy bringing that back and forth to a festival........I have a habit of loosing things. But it could be still an option. Quick look at the prices and its so much cheaper than Detroit. Even airbnb in Detroit is crazy. We will def be doing some after parties. What time does it normally wind down at the festival itself?
Hotels and AirBNBs in downtown Detroit that weekend are all going to be super high. If you want to stay on the US side of the border for cheaper, I'd look at hotels in Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, and Melvindale. It's a manageable Uber ride to/from the festival and after parties, especially if you're splitting that with other people.
You could even look as far out as Taylor if you're gonna be splitting Uber's 3 and 4 ways each time.
-used daily and stage schedules to put together, so these artists are performing on those stages on those days, at least. -used timing from the past two years schedules to guess set times and stage start/end times -small text artists open, large text artists later in the day -"live" acts typically given shorter sets, some exceptions. hip-hop artists given 1 hour sets. -there are some maybe unlikely scenarios, like a 3 hour loco dice set, or 3 hour tale of us sets, but i'm not sure how else that stage would work out on those days.

my days are fairly simple to plan if it works out like this.
saturday: brian kage > umfang > stacey pullen (maybe some of marie davidson) > ? > sterac > LSD > end of orbital
sunday: craig gonzalez > ryan elliot > volvox > noncompliant > chris liebing > richie hawtin (maybe some bouncing around at the end of the night, de witte, b3b set, saunderson b2b, oscar mulero)
monday: dtm 2x4 > ? > heidi > DJ bone > DJ Nobu > Tale of Us > Floorplan > Tale of Us
no stage opening artists are "must sees" for me so i may show up late on any given day.
Another guy is joining us and knows Detroit well so he is going to sort out our accom. We used to get three/four into a small hotel at Coach so no problem doing the same and splitting the cost.

Anyone done VIP and is it worth it?
it's not a huge premium for VIP, and as such the benefits are not huge. having said that i've done VIP the past two years and IMO it is worth it.
vip benefits:
-VIP entrance with a shorter line. Not a huge benefit if you go in early, but after dark the GA line can get pretty long. VIP line is 5 minutes tops. -A/C VIP bathrooms. people love this but it's not a big deal to me. they have a bunch but later in the day there are still lines so i'd just as soon go to a GA porto with no line -VIP area behind main stage. this is a big benefit to me. it's a really big area, lots of chairs to sit in etc. they have speakers firing from behind the main stage so you can at least hear the music from there, but you can't really see what is going on on the stage. i really enjoy having a place to chill out for ten minutes -special VIP sets in the VIP area. not a big benefit to me because it's always like J. Phlip or something. no disrespect it's just never been an exciting artist for me. -one other thing about the VIP area is it provides another path from one end of the venue to the other (one entrance at the red bull stage, one entrance near stargate/main/underground). so that is nice and I use it a lot to move around the grounds. -VIP viewing areas at main and pyramid. I use the pyramid one everytime I'm there. Not the best viewing area, if you aren't on the rail you can't really see since it's flat, but still it's nice. Main is a similar situation but is typically more crowded then the pyramid. -i think you get like $1 off drinks in VIP, and VIP drink lines are definitely shorter.

Great info! Looks like a friend who works for a hotel in Florida hooked us up with insane rates so we managed to snag accom and spend extra on the VIP.
Doing Friday to Monday. Want to get a night in Detroit, maybe a party somewhere. Hyped

// From OMEN Recordings, Sub÷Divizion and Aerotek Recordings:
It is our pleasure again to present our 4th annual "EVOLVE" event back to Detroit Movement 2019 weekend. The party last year packed over 600 people, and as the reputation catches on about how great these events sound, we decided to bring the Perc Trax crew to Detroit. We look forward to the featured artists bringing their underground sounds to the birthplace of Techno. To complement this amazing lineup, we are also adding some local stars, too, and some of the best American Techno acts. We look forward to this being the best attended event for Evolve. Take advantage of our early bird sales to get the most affordable prices, as this one is guaranteed to sell out.
venue is still TBA, i guess it will be at the new Works. the organizer told me on facebook it would be at a venue 10-15 minutes from Hart Plaza. not buying tickets to anything until i know what the venue is. i also didn't like The Works that much when i went last year.

saturday official after @ leland sunday official after @ masonic
shiba san is great but i was hoping for a more techno focused big name for the sunday masonic.
not familiar with wizardy but apparently it's a thing people are excited about. i know leland is revered as a venue from movement regulars but it sounds unpleasant to me.
either of these are possible after options but i'm still holding out on buying tickets. hopefully saunderson @ magic stick for saturday, not sure on sunday.
edit: also bought my plane ticket so it's official. opted for the direct flight out of new orleans. even with gas and parking still $100 cheaper than flying out of mobile, and i love a direct flight.
Masonic Temple basement is such a sweatbox. I nearly died at a Skrillex/Boys Noize/Danny Brown after show there one year.
The venue is so outdated that if it's hot outside then it's it's hot as fuck inside. The Fountain Ballroom especially. I heard AEG bought the venue or is at least in partnership with them now and looking to renovate it.

Already bought mine too. Patricia is a sweetheart. One of my favorite things every year is hanging out with her and discussing photography. She gets some pretty cool shots from her angle in her chair.
She's currently in the hospital/rehab for her MS and a recent broken ankle so send some good vibes her way.

Gonna be honest, a lot of this will be what my group is feeling at the moment, I don't wanna go off by myself for this since it will just be us four. Definitely won't leave my girlfriend for a set like I would at Lolla where we're more comfortable lol. rough guess maybe based on what I think my girlfriend would like and the other couple in our group, and before a lot of research
Sat: UMFANG > Marie Davidson > Tin Man > Soul Clap > Amelie Lens > a combo of Disclosure/LSD/Orbital
Sun: Volvox > Channel Tres > Noncompliant > Charlotte De Witte > either Richie Hawtin or the Saundersons
Mon: Danny Daze > Heidi > Audion > Yaeji > Griz or Fjaak (my best friend is a huge griz fan boy so I made be dragged to his set lol oh well, I've never seen him so I wouldn't be upset if it happens) > Floorplan!
might be my saturday after right here. great lineup!
Easily the best lineup announced yet. Would high-key recommend this one (with the enormous caveat that I have yet to make the pilgrimage to Detroit and thus know jack about venues) (EDIT: I went to do an artist recommendation but literally everyone on this is fire. HMU if you want specific recs out of this group, but if you like techno this is where you should be on Saturday)
Also, generally gonna throw a plug for LSD. I know I already posted the set but please, anyone going, check them out at least. It's 3 dudes at the top of the game doing something really never done before, and it's well worth your time. Stop by for 30 minutes at least
3post1jack1 I can't see any of the last three images you posted what are they?
Edit: Nevermind turned off the Ublock and Privacy Badger, I see them now. Avalon Emerson, Eris Drew, Olin and Justin Long for the TV Lounge/Smart Bar party is legit, will be there for sure
