I like the move because of all the silence over the weekend, but wondering if there's any other reason you felt this way.
it is early days but Otter isn't feeling sus like he did so immediately in the prior game; not saying I've got a town read on him already, but I am not feeling worried bout him right now.
Browell seems same as last game, too. So it just didn't feel like the best runoff. Also it was three newer players/ones who don't play as often with us, so I'm glad we've got MD in there now
When you say "Otter isn't feeling sus like he did so immediately in the prior game..." - when did you think Otter was sus last game? I'm through six pages of the game and don't think you've uttered his name once, including on D2 where you said Theo/Teddy was a good runoff. I'll grant that one shouldn't express every thought one has, so if it was an unstated thought just say that, but I certainly don't see you expressing Otter's sus-ness "immediately" in the last game where he was mafia...
my issue isn't that it was specific, it didn't really answer the question and you threw my name out in a way that makes it seem purposeful
it literally did answer the question, dude. just because you don't think it is a "good enough" reason for the runoff to feel off to me doesn't mean it isn't still a valid feeling for myself to hold.
i just played a game with browell and otter, the former who was town and the latter was mafia. browell seems pretty similar this game to last and otter doesn't (and last time he had a role). so a runoff with them taking 2 of the 3 spots felt off. dont know what else to say....and should stop typing, lest you think im overexplaining again
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

i was feeling it by end of d1, maybe didnt voice it in the game til later in d2, but it was upon my d4 reread that it felt pretty obvious from within the first 2-3 pages (at a similar point that we're at in this game now)

How do y’all have this many thoughts? I have like 0 reads right now lol
I agree - this trend toward "sniping" on D1 really kinda irritates me (and not just because I was an innocent bystander getting sniped last game).
I don’t really have an issue with sniping (I’ve done it plenty), just seems weird that multiple people are talking like they have real reads and things to go off of. Will be interesting to look back on

This post smells. Please define "trend" and explain why are you irritated since it doesn't have to do with last game.
"trend" is players, with more and more frequency, claiming to know something as townies on D1. you have been sniping people (though with me last game it was because you were scum), and tranter "sniped" me in the game a few games ago where I was inspector. It all seems to be based on this "overexplaining" tell.

It's basically just me using the term snipe recently referring to the hot streak I'm on with early page reads. Weird for you to call it a trend without saying my name. And to the second part of my question, why exactly do you care? What is irritating about it?

Well, it's not just you. It's any player walking in on D1, sometimes on page 1, saying "x is mafia". Tranter has done it, you have done it, but maybe I'm wrong in conflating the two and remember the two times I was "sniped" - once as inspector as pointed out by Tranter for overexplaining, and once as you last game when you were mafia. Maybe it's just irritating when it happens to me? but I think it's a distraction when people do that.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

I will try to find mafia later in games moving forward. I deeply apologize for my recent early game contributions. Let's get back to essential Day 1 conversations about 5way vs 4way and how likely it is for mafia to be found in the last 4 voters.
Me, Rummy, and Maddog are mafia together. I foolishly tried too hard to distance from Maddog with an overexplained initial vote. The wise Jortles quickly noticed and switched his voteto me and convinced Rummy to come along. However, Jortles didn't realize that Rummy was my mafia teammate and that this would be an excellent opportunity to create distance by siding with him. Later, Rummy decided to further distance herself by applauding the brilliant addition of Maddog into the mafia runoff. Notably, the previous runoff of Rooloo, Otter, and Browell felt off. Now we have 2 mafia in the runoff and Jortles has pretty much won the game for town. We should make tshirts with his avatar and in bold font above the picture, they will read "The Sniper"
Can you respond to Jortles in a more sincere manner? I mean, obviously you're saying you're not town here, but I'd appreciate more of a straightforward effort of explanation to see if it vibes with my thinking.
I'm town just being dumb. People often think I say or do "wacky" stuff in this game and read it as mafia, but they are usually wrong, but I acknowledge I play weird. I was just responding to that and also the fact that jortles likes to make a big deal about sniping people but he is wrong this time and its funny from my perspective

Also I don't care if people throw out names like they know something. It will hit sometimes and could buy the inspector another day. Overdoing it could cause confusion for town though. Just another strategy out of many. I'm just messing with Jortles in this case because he was acting confident and I know he's incorrect

I am not a fan of how things went down on Rooloo and will someday tally up snipe accuracies. I think they can lead townies down a rabbit hole if they are wrong. I also swore off voting MD for this round to make up for voting for him as Inspector last game. Not sure how to weigh that out in the end, so I will even things out and note that I am not locked in here.
