I’m not saying that the Saints will win the super bowl, but last season was a colossal cluster fuck of injuries, suspensions, a game completely lost due to covid, a star player who sat out the whole season.. it was basically backup players at over half the positions for the whole season. And they still got 9 wins.
It’s hard to believe that the season will be as unlucky as last year. I’d guess around 10 wins, but definitely not a top 10 draft pick team.

Feels like saints fans are pinning a lot of hopes on a combo of a proven mediocre (at best) QB with a new, defensive head coach instead of the offensive savant who led the franchise for 15 years and dragged them to whatever level is above respectability.

Feels like Saints fans are willing to embrace the transition with the bulk of the staff leadership that ran the units for a while. When Pete decided to stay on as OC even though he reportedly wanted a lesser role, we have the continuity I was arguing we would. Jameis is whatever he is. Mediocre QB’s don’t throw for 5,000 yards. Great QB’s generally don’t throw 30 interceptions. He’s on a 2 year deal costing us not much. So if he’s a temporary fix and doesn’t pan out as we all hope he can, what’s lost? We move on or he succeeds and sign him to a 3 or 4 year deal then. Keyshawn was beaming over what his nephew, Cantguardmike and where he’s finally at after 2 years of nothing.
You and anyone else here is free to disagree. I’m not betting on cheese, but for you and up to 10 other people, I’m happy to bet the wins over which is at 7.5. Put that money where that mouth is. Bet is open until June first for anybody out there who thinks they have it. As an added bonus, we have a beast schedule. Should be easy to hit that under right?

Don't engage. There is absolutely no applying reason to this situation.
Lol. I couldn’t spell shit out any more could I have? Bet me.
Dude, I've honestly stopped reading at this point. LOL. I'm happy for you that you believe in your team but your trust in the organization exceeds logic.

I lost like two bets ever on this site. A Philadelphia food bank got some cash and a dog rescue. I won 8 or 9 bets and only took the cash about 30% of the time as the other few hundred went to dog rescues. My trust goes so far. I’m not in it to lose. So if you decide to consider it or even to watch more football [tm] the bet is available.
I don't understand what the Saints are doing with this trade
It’s either LT/WR, more pieces for something else or an advance on first rounds for Coach Payton in the next 3 years. It mostly cost us a 2nd in 2024 to move up next years first to this year. We are retooling the way we do our cap, so this could be part of the catch up we were eventually going to have to face. Our money situation is already better for 2023 and will be much better in ‘24. I hope we keep the picks unless we use one of them to get some other higher round picks.

They actually believed Howie Roseman's pitch that it benefits them and fell for it hook, line and sinker. If Philly can double up in 2023 with a pick in the top half and the bottom half of round 1 Im all for it.
$50.00 was placed on the line. Talk - money = ain't shit.
:>
Hilarious seeing people talk shit then get quiet when it’s time to put their money where their mouth is
Naturally. The internet likes to talk shit but usually can't back it up. With NFL discussions, it's either national media consumption or group think taking over people's opinions.
I didn't think $50 was a big deal on a Vegas-set over/under for wins that has a 1/2 game involved. If we suck and I'm a delusional fan, surely we'll win less than 7.5 games. I'd be peeling off money like an NBA star or sending it to x's favorite animal rescue charity depending on how they wanted me to pay for my losses.
Except nearly everything I said was going to happen with the Saints this offseason has happened. I don't know what else to do short of offering additional odds for any pussies who grow a set of ovaries and wanted to step up and bet. But fuck that. The offer is on the table for up to 10 motherfuckers who think I'm wrong and are willing to put their money where their mouths are.
