Im huge on the Eagles next season. 3 first rounders after barely hobbling to the playoffs this year is a huge stepping stone. Hurts and Smith should only improve and again- 3 first rounders
sure but that's one good example the rest I dont think is enough to just write them off entirely
there's a handful of guys who won and never went back either from the Brees and Steve Young's to the Joe Flacco and Brad Johnsons, and the Rams are (potentially) going to take bigger hits this off-season
At some point the Bengals' owner is going to have to pay some guys. I'm interested to see how that plays out.
I guess my point isn't that they definitely won't be back. Just that it's unlikely regardless of how young Burrow is. The AFC is a gauntlet of good to great QBs. Just getting back there is going to be a road.

Yeah. Im hoping Howie doesnt do it dirty with the picks. Interior O Line, Edge and either Db or take a flyer on Jameson Williams cause that knee injury dropped his stock. Probably expect a trade offer on 15 and 16. Devonta having 900+ yards on just 64 receptions in a run heavy offense points to having a breakout year if they can really balance it. I think Hurts also has to get it going with Goedert some more. It was night and day how Minshew played with him when he had that start cause they def have had a lot of reps together.

As an aside, I'd just like to mention that I appreciate that we can talk about the NFL without some of the insanity you see in the comments section on social media. Some page posted about Stafford getting into the hall of fame. The mental gymnastics i saw in the comments were amazing. You can have whatever opinion you want on the idea. Just use your head when deciding. For example, his stats in Detroit don't matter bc they never did anything in the playoffs. His stats in LA don't matter bc the team was too good. 50k yards career just means a quarterback is good enough to start.
Do you really think Philadelphia will even win their division? No way they're better than the Cowboys. Cowboys are what they are, and perhaps any Super Bowl glory is elusive. But you lost to them 41-21 and 51-26 (92-47). Week #18 isn't really an indicator since I'm pretty sure you guys ran light for that game while Dallas was still chasing seeding. I think you split with the Giants and then beat Washington by like 10 and 4/5 (?) and ended up with a second place finish in the NFCE. That's really cool, because we finished second as well and will see that ass at Lincoln Financial Field (and Stadium) to collect the booty that rightfully belongs to us.

I think he's a lock now for sure, definitely passes the Matt Ryan, Dan Marino, Philip Rivers bar

Have you lived the roller coaster that is the NFC East? They have had no repeat division winner in 18 years and counting. There hasnt been a consistent dominant force in the division since the prime Andy Reid years either. So Dallas might have way too much pressure and McCarthy implodes while the Eagles go into the next season with lots of positives after having zero expectations from a first year head coach that got into the post season playing decently well despite some key injuries.

The QB metrics have started to get out of hand for what denotes a HOF career now. Eli is going to get in because he won twice, not because he had eye popping numbers. How do we measure a Philip Rivers who had big numbers but couldnt get over the hump. Stafford mightve ended up in that category if he never won a title. But its just this extra thing that will make some good stats look nicer. I guess we should look at Super Bowl winning qbs who would never have a shot of getting in like Nick Foles or Brad Johnson. Same might apply to head coaches. Has every head coach gotten into the hall because they won the SB? Marv Levy has a HOF resume and didnt win it, but he went 4 times, so what is the measuring stick. How about Marty Schottenheimer? He has a great record but never got to the SB.
I haven’t lived in it but I follow it. I just don’t see the Cowboys outside of a freak season for the worse not winning the division again. If Rodgers stays in Green Bay, Green Bay and Dallas seem the most likely NFC division winners. I actually don’t think y’all suck and should contend for a playoff spot again.

Brown was rumored for Rams' OC. The Rams may end up grabbing the Kentucky OC, who has worked for/with McVay previously. Fingers crossed McVay retires, I guess.
