I was never really worried about it but it would have been rough for the Steelers to replace a First Team All-Pro Unlikeable Guy at QB with the HOF GOAT Most Unlikeable Guy at QB.
Great trade for Denver, especially with the rumor of Von Miller coming back.
I'm not sure that Wilson is the player that he was a few years ago. I don't see a lot of Seahawks games, though, and the last time I really just sat and watch a full game they were getting beat down by the Bills so I may be too negative on him.
They're going to struggle to put talent around him, though.

Jeudy, Javonte Williams, and Albert O are pretty good
I think the bigger concern is putting him in the AFC West. Like its not a cakewalk by any means. Def gonna be a couple extra Broncos game in primetime now.
They get Wilson at 34 & 35 years of age and then he's a free agent. They'll have no firsts or seconds during that time. His current contract is pretty cheap, too, so don't be shocked if he swings a new deal, too. ($51M combined.)
It's just a tough spot for a team that isn't necessarily an elite QB away from winning it all. They've got KC & LA to deal with for four games a year and maybe the Raiders will improve, too. They're also in a conference that's pretty stacked at QB.

I actually like Denver’s roster (especially if von returns) and think adding Wilson instantly gives them a chance to make the playoffs. And once you’re in, anything can happen.

It looks like their post-trade salary cap is about $26.8M for the year. They've got no 1st or 2nd rounders but they have some room to pick up some veteran talent.
I don't think that they've got the juice to take the division from KC but you're right that they may be able to make it in as a wild card but it's a pretty deep pool in the AFC. The Bengals/Ravens, Chargers, and Raiders probably slot in ahead of them. (I'm not much of a believer in the Raiders but they did manage to finish second with a lot of stuff going in-house last season and deserve the benefit of the doubt with McDaniels.)
