Thought about including her but didn’t want to double check if she was actually sleepy or not. HM for sure.
Also I only included artists from the past decade or so on my list, but the tradition of sleepy women extends back decades. Joni Mitchell is a guiding light in this respect.

Lana Del Rey is the runaway winner, here, and her not being in the original poll is a crime against sleepiness.
You are saying that you nap to the self-proclaimed "Gangster Nancy Sinatra?"

Is Lykke Li napable? The first song of hers that I really noticed was Get Some and that kind of set my opinion of her I guess.

For me Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens or Beach House wins it all. All three have lulled me to sleep super fast. Grizzly Bear could be a contender, but I love them and could never fall asleep during their music
Really? I go so hard at Bon Iver concerts, honestly some of the most amazing live shows I've been to. I haven't seen Beach House live yet (I have tickets to see them twice this year) but I would think their wall of sound vibe would be enough to keep you up.

I don’t want to be around someone going hard at Bon Iver.

I literally use Weyes Blood as my zone-out meditation music.

Any solo female with a harp or piano is a contender for me.
Joanna Newsome is lovely and talented but cmon.
Regina Spektor has had some major dud albums.
The thought of listening to a new release from Bonnaroo fave Norah Jones makes me feel like I freebased quaaludes
So you would be able to nap through Tori Amos?
Well i said contender, not a rule. There are certain ones where it would be a sad nap, and id have a dream about my dog who died when I was 7 or something. That's my rationale against Beach House too.

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I somehow missed "Women" in the title and thought you got real sexist for a minute.

I've done it. Four of us went and saw her about a decade ago and we all fell asleep at some point during the show. (The curse of lawn seats.) I also used to nap to Little Earthquakes in college.

EDIT: I have come to the decision that your decisions on what is sleepy and what is not is invalid due to all your previous statements.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
