I could live with the Cheers cutoff, but even then, A Different World premiered five years after Cheers, Martin premiered 10 years after Cheers, Living Single in '93, Family Matters in '89, and Boondocks in 2005.
I agree with snoke that it's not about including Black-led shows just for representation's sake, but any of those (I haven't watched Martin in a long, long time, but it was culturally significant when it was on) deserve inclusion on some combo of merit and/or pop culture clout, IMO.
I'm not sure why the other ones that you named didn't make the list but personally, I only watched two of them enough to form opinions and neither would've jumped into a top ten list for me.
I'm not sure that cultural significance is as important for this though. Will and Grace, Ellen, the Simpsons, the Flintstones, etc. would both make that cut but I'm not sure are necessarily remembered for being funny. (Edit: Except for the Simpsons, obv.)
I think Boondocks being an animated show makes it a difficult fit with this list, along with the Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy, King of the Hill, etc. We could probably do a whole one just on animated shows, TBH.
Just my thoughts.
Boondocks is a reach - Family Matters, Living Single, A Different World, Martin - all should have had a chance here. We should have a separate animated one for sure. Will & Grace as much as I didn't dig the show should be there. Also other misses are The Drew Carey Show, NewsRadio, Night Court (though you can say that's too far back), and def. Golden Girls.
I caught a season or so of friends back in the day because everyone at school was talking about it, but I definitely missed the zeitgeist and have no nostalgia for it. tried watching some recently and it was just not good.

I was thinking recently that I watched basically all of Drew Carey show and I can't for the life of me remember what he did for a living. like I remember the office layout, his brewing, the characters, plot lines, etc. but his actual job is just a blank

No The Good Place Stings.
Also, there should have been a delineation between network sitcoms and non-network sitcoms. Seinfeld did what Curb does but with the restrictions on being available on over the air tv, and did is so masterfully.

Roseann would probably be on the list if she wasn’t canceled.
Wow. This is a hotter mess than I thought it would be. Big Bang off the jump? Wow. Just wow. I am with LLL, fuck Friends. Never watched, never wanted to, it can go.
uh oh is this another Survivor where we're gonna be at odds the whole time? #NapSurvivorFlashback
Haven't really caught up on this thread, but doubtful. None of these shows are the hill I am dying on. I think the drama from everyone will be GOLDEN though.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Frasier seems like a big omission, it's a good comfort food show.
Also if measuring only by sheer funniness I think Detrioters would beat out everything on this list
We rewatched Frasier in mid-2020, and comfort food was exactly how I described it. I could easily have sat down and watched three or four episodes at a time.

He was the HR Manager at a store of some kind.
Not being available for streaming doesn't help. I remember really liking Two Guys, A Girl and A Pizza Place but it's not available either.

Oh that is the show that I found and fell in love with Ryan Reynolds. <3
So to summarize: it is absolutely infuriating that A Different World, The Boondocks, Boy Meets World, The Cosby Show, Detroiters, Different Strokes, Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23, The Drew Carey Show, Family Matters, Frasier, The Golden Girls, The Good Place, Good Times, Happy Endings, Home Improvement, The Jeffersons, Martin, Nathan For You, New Girl, NewsRadio, Night Court, Roc, Sanford and Son, Schitt’s Creek, The Simpsons, and Veep, and What’s Happenin’ were all omitted. Do better, teddy.
