Think there's any chance they offer a Groupon to this like they did in 2019?
A Groupon?? This lineup is amazing and I love bourbon but it's far too expensive. Do the hotels closeish usually sell out just incase they do reduce the price of tickets.
Yea the hotel situation is kinda jacked. I have one downtown I booked when there was a hint of the festival returning. Might be moving to an airBnB as the group keeps growing. The ones right next to the festival grounds are way taxed. its an easy Uber ride in. Ill check here before I release my room in case anyone has a late gametime decision to make.
The more I look at the Pilgrimage Festival lineup the more annoyed I get when I look at the Bourbon & Beyond one. This festivals used to be somewhat on par (other than B&B having more days) and now it seems Pilgrimage has decided to say farewell to Rock acts and now really looks pretty much like 2 days of attempting to nap in 90+ degree heat in an open field. I can't do much about it in 2022 but can certainly do something in 2023. Oh and I love bourbon.
With all of that said, is this festival one where you can get a hotel and easily get to/from the venue without a car? I figure 'to' is always easy via rideshare but 'from' is often a nightmare in these instances. What about walkability?
Nevermind. I should have googled first. Looks like there is a row of hotels right next to the camp sites. Hope you all have a good fest this year.
If the music lineup has you on the fence, the Bourbon lineup has been announced.
All of that rules and will be consumed as it’s poured. We have like 3 distillery tours set up for mornings. I’m excited to sample Louisville. I’m even more excited with the premium offerings. They won’t be cheap but if at least some of them are reasonably priced, I will try a few that I haven’t had yet. I’m talking it’s gotta be < $20.00 an oz because even though that’s a fortune, I’m not sure how many of these will be available to me again.

Plus a wine and beer garden. Haha. They better have caffeine bars everywhere so I can keep up.
I’ve heard mixed reviews for this festival. Anyone have any insight into why?
It's a soulless Festival with no character. Two big stages, side-by-side and the rest of the fest is bourbon and food. They allow camping chairs - never a good sign. Nothing much else to it. However, the sound system is very good, there are big screens for viewing, and they have great merch. If the lineup speaks to you go, but there is little else that is memorable or remarkable about the fest itself.
So it’s literally only the two connected stages even for the smaller artists? The pics I see of the stages looks like one big crowd stretched across the 2 stages. What does that do for sightlines for us plebes in GA?

There's a small third stage operating during the day. The dancing tent and other bourbon stuff draws some people from the two main stages too. We were in GA in 2019, and found it pretty easy to navigate around camped-out people and we had great spots near the front up through the headliners. But the VIP setup lured us in this year...

I got an email overnight from B&B stating that if you use Zelle between now and 8/31 x # of times (I don't have it) and opt in on their form, you can get certain perks for B&B.
Send money 1x - Expedited festival entry Send money 4x - Access to the Fred Minnick bourbon tasting experience Send money 6x - 4 course dining experience with Chef Antonio Lamas Send money 8x - Access to 1 exclusive intimate performance with Shakey Graves, St. Vincent, Courtney Barnett or Caamp
If I had Zelle, I would probably send like 8 people $1.00 to get in on that private St. Vincent show. I'm not a big fan of corporate sponsorships at festivals, but there's not shit you can do about it. If I'm getting something in return, it's going to bother me slightly less.
