I’m not really worried about tranter right now bc he’s acting pretty much the same way he was the last time two times he was town. i also really do feel like rummy was reaching early on in the game. Or at the very least I know that I’m town and her argument for me being mafia felt like the least logical thing I’ve ever heard from someone who is usually of sound logic. Idk.
I’m changing up my read on JTR for now

Given that town tranter is either really good mafia bait or that he is actually mafia, a tranter/rummy/potent runoff just seems safer.
I will happily speak to this. I think we’ve talked in prior games’ reflections/once both dead about how ill sometimes as townie push on folks I have question marks about to try and help form reads.

I read through basically everything and the prevailing town narratives this entire game have been so so unconvincing yet adopted by a majority like crazy. An example being the “it’s gotta be JTR or potent”. Those were my top two as well but where the fuck is the one person thinking differently. Bet maf is riding an “acceptable” storyline there. If it’s potent and someone else, the someone else is Theo or cum but I really lean cum.
I’m staying on potent as long as nobody else is interested in cum. More important than anything said in this game is that potent pouted and stamped his feet when he was about to go out. That’s his tell.
I mean there was that whole thing with potent and JTR moving off LD that looked weird, especially after the MD whack. Also suspicious on tranter were fleshed out but done away with, and he turned out to be confirmed town right? Are you sure you’re not mafia trying to stir up dirt on town to make D5 harder?
But the major fuck up here is that I’m in this runoff. If potent is town it’s wraps at the close of the round. Unless JTR or rooloo were maf

Here’s one that nobody will like but me but Theo saying good morning friends and mafia and then cum saying good morning but not to mafia a little later makes me want to rule out those two as a combo. Would be some weird ass coordination there. I actually find the post by cum to be oddly… not adding anything anyways and kinda like “yeah fuck the mafia right!”

what?? Aren’t you also putting a lot into MD’s post since you’re tunnel visioned on teddy voters, and that’s what MD’s final post called for?
I've never connected maddog's whack to Teddy voters. I would be looking at the people that forced Teddy to reveal no matter who the whack was. This is why the JTR/Potent link is so crazy to me, but I guess others can play how they want.
I think it's pretty widely agreed in our meta here that once the inspector is whacked, the whacks basically only eliminate suspects. So I don't think there's anything about Maddog being whacked that is worth dissecting. Theo, and others, seem to be placing great weight on it.

lemme explain where my head is at and why my vote's on jortles. i am talking to y'all with the awareness that one very well might be mafia but w the strong feeling that you aren't maf TOGETHER, so hopefully there's at least one townie between y'all for me to lay out this logic to.
if potent is mafia - i reallllllllly don't think it is with anyone still alive but instead that it would've been w JTR and so potent is the only one left here. that means he can go d5 and Town still win.
HOWEVER, if potent is town, then i 100% think jortles is mafia--and even more so, i think it feasibly could be with theo (but IMO even more feasibly with JTR) which means if we vote Potent out here, theres a chance maf wins D4.

no matter what he says now and how he frames it, i do nottttt feel like jortles has been playing for town this game. he made that asinine post that was to literally no benefit to fellow townies where he just bitched at us for not "getting him" or whatever then never spoke to it again except to be like "i made a funny."
the d3 push on tranter NEVER sat right with me: i said it then and obviously feel it even more strongly now that we know hes confirmed town. potent was one of those people pushing on him but then also was trying to like push me into the runoff? when there wasnt much traction around that? i still struggle to make sense of what his d3 logic was if maf, but ofc im not discounting the idea that he was just out to confuse town (and succeeded lol). like, pg 17 potent is talking about how his ideal d3 runoff would have me and tranter (he was trying to push me in there but then realized the votes weren't there to make it happen), which i can only make sense of if 1) he was maf w JTR and trying to do whatever to lessen the chances he was voted off or 2) he's town who just has had some bizarre reads this game. either scenario, exiling jortles here and potent tmrw is still the move.
also of note - potent was really pushing me/tranter, citing concern about how we were suddenly too chummy together etc etc. im pretty puzzled as to why a mafia potent would choose to whack tranter when that ruins the narrative he was hanging his hat on in d3. it isn't impossible by any measure but it's another instance of "as maf, wtf would this be about?"

Just throwing thoughts out there but to me this seems like mafia trying to find the easiest towns person to put into the runoff that’ll get the votes away from mafia.

theres certainly an argument to make for jortles here. he knows that we sorta expect as town that he might be mostly MIA til halfway through D3 then pop up, so him doing so here really doesn't convince me one way or the other. could be planned this way so he can suddenly show up to be active and do what you said--try and suss out who is most likely to get traction and vote off
and if he was maf with potent or JTR, it is pretty convenient to be like "well im sus of jtr, potent, and tranter" and then vote tranter. classic "let me list my teammate but vote elsewhere."
bringing this back up -- the quote doesn't show the original Jortles post, but it was where he went from like cum > rum > tranter all before then ending the day on potent. note, he avoided voting for both JTR and Theo throughout the Day.

Do you think there's a chance Cum and Jortles are mafia together? If there are two left, this is the only combo that makes sense to me.
can you give just a couple quick notes on why this pairing makes sense to you?
you don't think if theres two left (and you're town) that jortles/theo makes more sense? they've voted alongside each other today until theo switched, d3 neither voted for each other. i think it's less likely they're maf together now that Theo did switch but if they're confident we'll vote you out tomorrow instead of theo, i could see it happening.
again, i dont think it's particularly likely at this point due to theo's willingness to switch onto jortles w me but it makes more sense to me than cum/jortles for sure
