i would've loved to make the case for mobile. traffic isn't bad, good seafood, one good thai restaurant, one good indian restaurant, 2-3 good mexican restaurants, 2 good middle eastern restaurants, airbus, close to the bay and beaches, small but vibrant downtown scene, the only shows that sell out here are Elton John, Kevin Hart, Jerry Seinfeld, Cats, and jason isbell performs here roughly every 18 months. plus if you want to visit a southern city new orleans is only ~2 hours away.

whats the good thai place? i've been to Taste of Thai in Grand Bay/Irvington a few times and it's fantastic, nice little hole in the wall place. i need to find more thai places down there because i miss it when i'm home since we have several good thai places in Oxford. i havent gone over to Mobile to eat much besides some general seafood type places that i dont even remember the names of

I haven't eaten out in Mobile very often. But I do like Brick Pit pulled pork there. Drive the extra 40 minutes east if you want to eat killer shit that way (though I'm sure Midtown Mobile has some good stuff and downtown):
