NYC and LA seem unlivably big. At least in terms of getting enjoyment out of living there
The thing about NYC though is that you can stay in one neighborhood and have a ridiculous amount of things to do, that are easily walkable, and a ton of public transportation. It's really a few decent sized cities rolled into one. And your can find good versions of any food you can imagine

is that not true of Chicago and La though?
I'm only speaking for NYC right now because they mentioned it. Although LA is harder to get around
also don't feel like the airport in Denver was that bad, all the airports in NYC are hell from my experience, and I was easily able to take the train from my Airbnb to the Denver airport
If one of the selling points to your city is "these other cities are too big for me" ... yikes
More of a concert thing for me. 90% of non-red rocks concerts are walkable or very short drives. Makes things easy compared to traveling 30+ min to a show

Taking the subway to a show is pretty easy, typically. If not, cabs are plentiful. I mean, yeah, you might be looking at 45 minutes door to door, but that’s no biggie, especially since you can do other things en route (check your feeds! Read a book! Make out with your partner! Work on writing your screenplay!).
I dunno. YMMV, but I’ve never had to choose not to see a show I wanted to see in the city because it was too hard to get to.
I don't get the complaints about DIA, it's one of my "favorite" airports. Is it just that it's far from downtown? So is LAX?
It has to be the distance, although as the person picking people up from the airport when they visit, I've yet to have a smooth arrival since they made the top deck cabs only
Most people that fly in seem to get a kick out of how they lean into the whole conspiracy theory aspect with the signs
All that being said, I'm not judging a city on it's airports
