I started writing a "things I love about NYC" post along the lines of what shuck did for Chicago, but it's late and I'm tired and it's more fun explaining why I've tweeted about kink and Dateline in the "how many people have you fucked" thread.
Ultimately, the list would be way too long, and I don't want to bore you guys any more than I already have. I know this city is a lot and has some low-ass lows (Donald fucking Trump is from Queens, after all), but it's also the most beautiful thing full of every kind of person from all over the place doing all kinds of crazy and amazing shit and just by being here, you're a part of it. It's really something.
Fuck I forgot this song existed. JEEZ WHAT A GOOD WRITER.
Also this reminds me "Russian Doll" comes back soon. Another reason NYC wins over LA. When it comes to "shows where the city is a character", New York is always better.

got back from NYC yesterday, had a wonderful trip. was so good to be back. lots to love about it but one thing i really appreciate is the hustle of everyone in the city. people are always moving fast. i got so into that flow that it was a shock when i landed in atlanta for my connecting flight, got off the plane, started hoofing it to my next gate (for no reason i had like an hour layover) and everybody is just kind of strolling along in the airport, taking up tons of space.
i did notice an uptick in mentally ill people on the street and subway compared to my last visit a few years ago. One example, I was walking around in the lower east side and a gentlemen approached me, his arms completely full of Just For Men hair dye, and right as he got close to he threw all the boxes down in front of me.
hair dye projectiles aside, NYC is great and everyone should visit.
