Bentonville is actually a really cool town (despite being the birthplace of one of the world's most evil companies). Rogers, which is right next to Bentonville, has the best coffee shop i've ever been to (Onyx Coffee Labs) and a really good brewery (Ozark Beer Co.) and the area is one of the best mountain biking destinations in the US.
Very nice lineup but this would be really expensive for me between ticket + expensive camping or hotel + I'm not a feasible driving distance away and the flights look hella expensive. Am curious to see how this goes though!
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
You'd probably be surprised at the percentage of cool there is in NW Arkansas and also how beautiful it is up there. Fayetteville, Fort Smith, Eureka Springs (exceptionally cool), Bentonville are all pretty hip places. It's not as redneck as you'd think either since there are lots of educated people up there due to the colleges and universities in the general area. The nearest major metros are Little Rock, Tulsa and Kansas City. We used to go up to Mulberry for Wakarusa when they had that and have been back once since meeting and becoming friends with lots of semi-locals. The lineup is pretty cool with Robert Glasper, The Comet Is Coming, Khruangbin, Herbie Hancock, Thundercat, Moses, Digable Planets, etc. It's a 10 hour roll from here, and I'm already doing Bourbon and Beyond in September. But in Arkansas, especially if this is private lands, they usually have no police and only security for safety.

I had no idea so many people love Arkansas. I think it’s the worst. *shrug emoji*
You ever been? It’s not as many radicals, but if you like Asheville and all the outdoor stuff they have to do in Asheville, it’s an overall reasonable comparison IMHO.

no we just think dudes from ~the greatest city in the world~ don't get to share their opinion of anywhere in the south
Grew up in Kentucky, lived in Virginia, have spent significant chunks of time in TN, Louisiana, and yes, Arkansas, and have visited every other southern state multiple times.
Unlike a lot of people on Inforoo dot com, I don’t talk shit about places in which I’ve never stepped foot.
Also, just to be clear, I wasn't referring to the entire American south with my comment. Just Arkansas. It's my least favorite state, and I say that having visited all of them in the continental US with the exception of Maine.
If you spent significant time there then you know there is a giant dichotomy between places like Pine Bluff and say Hot Springs (SW AR). There's also a big difference between areas that have blown apart and mined mountaintops and Eureka, Petit Jean or whatever. I even like Little Rock, but it's not probably for everyone.
