Christmas is the best holiday and it’s not particularly close
The entire month of December is my favorite holiday. I LOVE the lights, music, events, bad movies, special events... You should see the 7 foot tree that I put up in my office every year

Christmas brings gift anxiety. And A Christmas Story on a twenty-four hour loop.
It's nice in theory but in practice it's a bit much.

I have not voluntarily watched a Christmas Story in like twenty-five years and yet I end up seeing it middle to middle seemingly a dozen times each year. It's not worthy of that level of exposure.
My mom gave me a couple pairs of really soft wool socks a few years ago, and I say a little thank you to her in my mind every time I put them on. Novelty socks can make good gifts too. I’ve got dogs, Bob Ross, Golden Girls, unicorns, and yarn socks that were all gifts that I wear regularly.

I hated Christmas until I had Kyle, but having a child during Christmas definitely added an extra level of stress and anxiety which I don't miss at all now that he is a grown ass adult. Plus, because of him I am a huge present giver when I have the means, and I love sending cards to my friends and making shit for secret Santa. I wouldn't be as into all the extra stuff that I do now if Kyle was still a child (I would say little one but he has never been little LOL).

I'm slowly getting rid of all my socks and replacing them with Darn Tough or Smartwool socks. I do have a few novelty socks that I hold on to, but I rarely wear them anymore. Open to suggestions on other great sock brands btw

There’s a brand of people, mostly girls, who say things like spooky szn and obsess over Halloween that really makes me hate that holiday. It’s probably because I dated one.
