There's a lot of cool stuff on the Sick New World undercard and it's a week after Shaky. Give me Death Grips, 100 Gecs, Killing Joke, Machine Girl, &/or Panchiko.
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Tim at a party last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

They misunderstood what he was talking about. It was a convo about Kanye, not Shaky Knees.

I have it on good authority that Shaky Knees is swapping venues with Welcome to Rockville in Daytona, FL. Danny Wimmer thinks being able to bring a gun to the festival will be a huge selling point for Rockville's demographic.
MCR - Fall Out Boy - Jack White - Phoebe - Mitski - Phoenix - Turnstile - Denzel Curry - 100 Gecs would be the foundations of a solid Shaky lineup. It’s a shame that Music Midtown got cancelled, they did a great job with booking.

Tim practically confirmed DMB won’t play.
He also liked this post: “So I looked through my Shaky Knees emails from 2018 and 2019 (which are the last “normal” fests) and tickets were for sale either 11/6 or 11/7. The silence is odd. I’m patient. The fest is months away anyway, but with the GA law loophole and Music Midtown being canceled, I’m concerned.”

I'm not expecting an announcement soon. I'm betting it hinges on the ability to change policy for festivals held on public grounds. Which won't be fully known until next year.
Atlanta City Council president Doug Shipman has also expressed his concerns over the festival cancellation and what it could mean for upcoming events in Atlanta like Sweetwater 420 and Shaky Knees. Shipman told Rolling Stone, “I don’t know if it’s an unintended, or intended, consequence of the policy [that it could affect access to other local arts and culture events taking place on public property]. But I would hope that as we move into the next state legislative session in January, the state legislature looks at this and really thinks hard about, is this the kind of impact that we want to have? Or can we create a policy that has exemptions for large festivals and ticketed events?” www.billboard.com/pro/midtown-fest-canceled-atlanta-georgia-politicians-gun-laws/
Wow if it really does drag all the way into Jan/Feb I hate to say it but we’ll probably have to skip this year. Limited vacation time and need to plan/schedule it a bit in advance. Obviously not as big of a deal if you’re local but I’d rather line up behind a sure thing like Memphis or Bourbon and Beyond since we’re traveling.
But tbh we had such a blast in our inaugural SK last year that I hope this is simply unnecessary worry.

Sure. But for some suspicious reason (racism?) Phil didn't speak up for the carrying rights of the ONE Music Festival attendees. Did we ever hear for sure if they turned anyone with guns away, if they were let in, or if it was just a non-issue? They were not specifically banned per the festival info page.

Website pretty clearly says “no weapons of any kind”.
And for what it’s worth, Phil has been messaging Shaky for years seemingly. He probably emailed OMF as well.
