Destroyer was so good at Shaky Knees last year, strongly recommend.

I think we saw the same show, but our expectations were wildly different. I didn't go expecting anything but the brooding artist vibe.

I love his recorded output, but I had never seen him before. I thought it was very odd as well. He did seem very disinterested. But I wasn’t sure if that’s part of his act? Musically it was fine and I enjoyed it but he did not seem that particularly engaged. I do think he was underbilled and played a little too early. Maybe he was not happy about that?

I still really liked the set. I just genuinely couldn’t tell if he was unhappy/uncomfortable or if that’s his stage persona. It made for a memorable set either way. I’d definitely see him again anytime. For what it’s worth, I thought he was checking his phone for lyrics.
Really really really hope Polyphia gets added. I’d take some other names like Crumb, Hiatus Coyote, Thundercat, Broken Bells, UMO, Parcels, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets or hopefully I finally get my redemption to see Stereolab from the cancelled year.

lol I just think people are gonna be disappointed with their expectations since they already let us down on the lineup

I remember back in 2020 they added PUP and Giz at this time. So I think it’s ok to have expectations of their being one worthwhile artist being added. I’m really hoping for Death Grips still which would track with how they teased them but then said they tried and failed at booking them.

that was bc of Coachella tho so they weren’t really additions as much as they were delayed announcements

Wouldn't mind having some of the bands that cancelled last year...didn't psychedelic porn crumpets have to cancel bc of a visa issue? Or am I getting them confused w another overseas band

I feel like they're not Coachella artists since they already added Snail Mail back. That might have been so she could announce her tour a week early though.
