YYY vs Cypress Hill basically makes Friday not even worth it for me.
Off! > Pond > Future Islands > FJM > FIDLAR > Flaming Lips all back to back is pretty fucking stacked though. I'll be totally happy ending the festival with Flaming Lips.
I would just get a day pass if I wasn't so crazy about The Front Bottoms and Mars Volta on Saturday.
Well this makes me feel good about springing for a YYY ticket in DC the night before we head to Shaky. I can do Cypress Hill and not be too pissed off. But seriously, quack GVF for doing that to us.

TMV and Soccer Mommy conflicting is brutal for me, but I've been waiting to see TMV for like 20 odd years now so they take priority, sadly. Would be a dream scenario (for me) if SM did a late night show to make this sting less. YYYs conflicting with Cypress Hill just seems foolish and unnecessary from a scheduling standpoint, but I won't belabor that obvious one. Phantogram vs Tenacious D is pretty rough too, but I've luckily seen both so I'll migrate wherever the vibes guide.
Looks like Friday GA is about to sell out (90% sold, across all ticket types is how I'm reading it). Sold out same day when they announced the 3-day was running low. Will be interesting to see if that happens again here.
Trying to figure out how to plan for this. I don't know a lot of the early day bands so going off what I'm hearing on Spotify to help decide. Really hoping we get some 'must not miss' discussion going as we get closer to the festival:
*I don't know what to do. Either due to tough call or other... Might just try to do both.
Friday: Desure -> Matt Maltese -> Arlie -> Lovejoy -> Spacey Jane -> Cautious Clay -> *Digable Planets -> Grouplove -> Placebo -> GVF -> *Cypress Hill -> The Killers
Saturday: Daisy the Great -> Me nd Adam -> Rickshaw -> Beach Weather -> *Shame -> *Suki -> JV&B -> Gaslight Anthem -> 311 -> *Tenacious D -> Muse
Sunday: Trash Panda -> Taipei Houston -> Sun Room -> *Snail Mail -> *Live -> Future Islands -> FJM -> *Hozier -> Flaming Lips -> Lumineers

Have we done a most anyicipated for this yet? Since schedule came out I'd go
1.Mars Volta 2. Gaslight Anthem 3. Shame 4. Front Bottoms 5. YYYs 6. Manchester Orchestra 7. Tenacious D 8. Black Angels 9. Flaming Lips 10. Digable Planets
Who am I sleeping on? I haven't really found anyone in the undercard that I feel like I'm going to listen to for a long time after like in the past. I'm def gonna see Joey Valence and Snail Mail besides that I don't really know

I was certain I would go to 311 and Cypress Hill over these. Spent some time watching live shows on YouTube and changed my mind. I’ll be at your choices instead.
Cypress Hill was fine but YYY was great. I don’t know if that was a bad show I saw for 311 but what I saw was so bad I don’t even know how they get booked.

Front Bottoms is one of my all time most listened to artists. Seen them three times now and it's always great. They have a lot of passionate fans so it should be one of the more memorable performances of the weekend. The one time I saw 311 was not good. Cypress Hill I can't speak for but I've only heard good things of YYYs live.

Still can't believe they managed to snag The Lumineers for this, what an absolute coup. I hope it selling out will encourage them to book more big headliners like this in the future. Would spare no expense to see 21 Pilots, Imagine Dragons, or Panic! At The Disco at Shaky.

Also I don’t know if everyone here was aware but The Front Bottoms are doing Talon of the Hawk in full (plus the hits). I’m now even more sad that it’s conflicting with 311 but I’m trying to catch stuff I haven’t seen.

they aren’t, the poster says they’re only doing the album at headline shows

oops didn’t see that as the small print just saw Shaky Knees listed first. I’d be surprised if they still didn’t play most of that album anyways
