Finally managed to get my hands on 2 tickets to FLips at the Ryman. The show is the Thursday after SK and they're still doing Yoshimi (plus more I assume) so will free us up to do other things during that SK slot. Hopefully we'll get late show announcements soon.
Hoping for a Phantogram or The Walkmen aftershow. I’d def try to go to a Mars Volta, Live, Surf Curse too. Anyone not on the lineup people think might have an aftershow? We had JPEGMAFIA

The Cure's tour dates would've lined up really nice with this, too bad they're doing State Farm Arena instead. The Cure - The Killers - Muse would've been a great top 3

Yeah when I saw the date the tour starts it just made me sad that SK didn't get them bc I'd rather see Cure outside than in SF arena

Solid options. Will monitor Digable Planets and Gaslight tix on resale. The only real conflict I have that these could resolve is TMV at Masq but I'm not passing up Front Bottoms at EARL.
The late night show I went to last year was the shortest show I’ve ever seen. Saw Djo, and they were really good, but they only played for 45 minutes. No opener either.

There is definitely variation. I think Joy Formidable in 2019 only played for about an hour. But Hives in 2021 seemed like a full (80-90 min) set, as far as I remember

While these options are definitely better than last year, the Thursday kickoff show has gotten significanly worse each year. My first year it was FIDLAR, Twin Peaks, Ron Gallo at Term West and that was incredible.

What happened to Twin Peaks? They were good.
I'm pretty sure I have permanent hearing loss from the Japandroids LN in 2018. I may have aged out of LN at this point, but this year's offerings are tempting.
