Martin Dupont looks like a lock. Show in SF May 18 and no show after til Denver on May 23. Its crazy they havent released a new album or toured since 87 and are gonna end up the fest. Thats some digging.

I'm more excited for this line up than JLH, tbh. There's way more unknowns since barely any tours have been announced around that time and huge potential for headliners compared to recycling the same for JLH. Hoping GV knock it out of the park.
Feel like Duran Duran could be in play given they headline Bottlerock a week later.
growing up in the 80s you were either team Duran Duran or team goth (Depeche Mode/The Smiths/The Cure). I guess those lines are more blurry now but I'm not sure Duran Duran would be a great fit as a headliner.
Wait so is the claim that Morrisey is new wave or that he's goth?
Either would be news to me
an even less well known fact is that Violent Femmes were goth and new wave.
And as we all know - the affluent aged goth demographic only buys tickets to boutique festivals that has headliners that were not MTV poseurs 40 years ago.

This. GV also surely intends to sell some tickets to people under 40 who could give a shit what goths found acceptable in the '80s. Duran would work great here.
The artwork looking similar to some of the artwork that The Cure have used gives me such unreasonably high levels of hope.
I mean bloodflowers
visually, I was thinking Wish but Bloodflowers works just as well. I do see that they used the same eye artwork in some promos for last year so it's all probably nothing... But we still don't have those 2023 US tour dates....
