What other bands do you think are possible for CW 2023? The Cure, New Order,… who else?
Lets start with who didnt make it this year. Echo and The Bunnymen, Gary Numan, Marc Almond and Bad Manners should be assumed since they said echo was good to go. I dont think they would do the Cure cause they had a fest with them already. If they were gonna make a big splash then Depeche Mode is who they would want the most. That would easily guarantee a sellout without much else on the poster. OMD, Pet Shop Boys, Andy Bell, Human League and X come to mind. Nation of Language, Special Interest, a Johnny Jewel side project or Italians Do It Better bands, Zola Jesus, Alice Glass and even The Faint would be solid newer groups to get.
this seems like a good list. The Cure (and Depeche Mode) seem too big for the festival ,but they would be perfect, and they did play Daydream in the same spot, so that would be perfect.
maybe someone like She Wants Revenge, Molchat Doma, Killing Joke, Tones on Tail/Love and Rockets/Poptone, Dead Can Dance.
Maybe they get B52s on the end of the farewall tour, but they might be a bit too poppy?
Pretty bummed that Echo dropped out this year and are playing next year. They were #1 on my acts to see.
same, but I'm happy it confirmed we will get them next year. and just imagine how terrible the conflicts would have been late in the day if they played. I'm going both days and I still have a couple conflicts.

Well it was 100 already for daydream and most everyone wanted to see Pixies and The Cure. Cant come late to this cause theres lots of early stuff happening.
Other than parking situation, today was mostly fun. Curious how they’re gonna fit TANP here though.
Theyre allowed to extend the grounds to the west across the bridges. Thats how Arroyo Seco was. And technically they can even put a stage inside the Rose Bowl itself. They could put 2 stages as theyre shown on this map and have the 3 they put up for Cruel World. Then you just have to place Despacio somewhere. And even on that map its similar to FYF because they have facilities of the stadium open for use which would help.

I only had those vegan tacos (which were really good) and since ADA was inside of VIP it was a pretty short line. Beer lines weren't bad there either. But man, VIP was filled with some jerks.
Also, if you’re going Sunday and driving, mark a pin for your cars location. Took me half an hour to find my car. Lots of people were just as confused with barely any lighting available.

we got in early enough that we had a section letter so it was easy to find K2, but getting there later tomorrow and will probably end up in the golf course so the marker will help.

Water seemed really hard to find unless you were in VIP or clubhouse but if you're at the outsiders stage security was giving out free water on the right side. Hopefully they keep that up tomorrow, too.
