Oof The Human League Vs. Iggy Pop conflict is brutal for me. 2 bucket list bands playing at the same time. Might be a deal breaker.
For those travelling its 2 acts that rarely play many parts of the US. Kind wish Echo was swapped with HL.
It doesnt help that nobody knows which band is playing with Iggy. Chad Smith is in Alabama on Friday with RHCP. Josh Homme and the Arctic Monkeys drummer probably have conflicts.
25 mins less Siouxsie than the Europe shows is a bit annoying. I do wonder if she adds US shows later as Cruel World promo had no 2023 US exclusive billing.
Billy Idol tours plenty, but if Steve Jones or the Gen X guy show up it becomes annoying.
Siouxsie is playing Passenger right now. Do fans here it twice in 75 mins or is something else planned?

Definitely agree. Having seen Echo last year, I can skip seeing them again, especially since their show wasn’t that great. Gang of Four and Molchat Doma is another tough choice to make. Also kinda want to see Billy Idol but know that Love and Rockets show is much more special and can’t be missed.

How worthwhile is Gang of Four after guitarist Andy Gill died in early 2020? So glad I saw GoF with all 4 in 2005.
I pick Iggy over HL if its the April band. I might split it if its Iggy faceless band.

Ah shit didn’t think about Andy Gill’s passing. Never seen Gang of Four.
Just got a ticket for $170 with free parking so I’ll be out there overthinking my choices lol.
This is getting interesting. I’m probably gonna start at GoF and feel it out. Here’s what I’m thinking as of today…
Aurat > Glass Spells > Berlin > Twin Tribes > Soft Moon > Gang of Four/Molchat Doma possible split > Gary Numan > Echo and the Bunnymen > Love and Rockets > end of Billy Idol > The Human League > Siouxsie
And now I’m gonna do some yoga and start stretching for Saturday.
Westjet crew strike starts Friday at 5 am, so they should give a couple of thousand Canadians flying down MAJOR headaches getting to and from LA. Basically USD$500 each way if you can find a flight or seat that still works for you.
Had to be light ing warning. Theres a radius for that kinda thing. Friends called me from their car. They just decided to leave. No traffic being directed. Cant imagine how bad the shuttles are.

the line went farther than I could see, I think beyond the gates. ADA saved me for sure.

Wow, what a freak thing to happen. One or two of those monsoon thunderstorms seem to sneak over this far west every summer, but you don’t expect it to fuck up your event like this, unlike fests in the Midwest. Feeling really bad for everyone there - could have just as easily been us at JLH last weekend.
