OK, so Jersey Mike's is apparently hosting some sort of special performance at Boston Calling. Apparently, downloading their app is part of what it takes to get into that.
I hope gizz cancels again so we can get a solo show for them sooner rather than later
Unless there's a clause in the Boston Calling contracts which gives the festival right of first refusal on their next Boston show, when the artist cancels.
That would explain which Gizz didn't book a Boston show during their northeastern U.S. run last fall.

I have no interest in seeing either of them, but I'm not rooting for a cancellation because that might put someone that I actually want to see on Green opposite King Gizzard.

I think they did this at Bonnaroo last year too. Japanese Breakfast did an acoustic set at their tent.

Probably a long shot but nobody on here has an extra 3-day they’re trying to get rid of, right? My friend bought on StubHub last minute on like Monday night, and of course the package was “misrouted” with UPS and looks like it won’t be delivered today and maybe not even tomorrow. And now it’s too late for StubHub to supply replacements AND of course 3-day GA sold out last night through the official ticketing… so we aren’t sure what to do.

Yikes, weather.com now has Sunday's forecast listed at a high of 87. That does seem like a bit much for May, but it wouldn't be Boston Calling if the weather was a perfect, balmy 72 degrees for three consecutive days.

I envy your positivity. Still pretty bummed not just for the YYY but Leon's cancelation was big for me too. Really only looking forward to The National for today and at least they'll have a longer set now. Also, Sat should still be good.
But yeah, its a great day weather-wise and I'm going to take about half a pack of gummies and try to make the most of it.
vip area is huge now. fuck this festival. i get that they need to make money but it was easier to get close at the coachella main stage than it is here now

Well the VIP was so packed last year, and the area around it I literally COULDNT GET TO the VIP area for Metallica. Of all the festivals I've been to that's probably the worst set up I've seen.

honestly they should just do viewing platforms for vip near the main stages. theres no other way to properly do vip viewing areas at a fest like this

Seems like they have built a few lanes, but obviously comes at the expense of those who are non-vip. Today feels pretty full but that makes sense with Foo headlining tonight, if tomorrow is “sold out” I’ll be interested to see what it’s like.
Also only been here an hour or so, but I have concerns the red stage sound issues have made their way to the Blue… although the red sounded decent (at least from where I was)
