Doesn’t that kinda go against the whole point of these shows being for the community though? Why not just sell them for fair market value at this point?
I guess so. You might think they are doing it only for the sake of security, but it makes you wonder when they are giving VIPs the option to booked first. I want to think it is just a limited amount of bookings for VIP....In venues already small so the chances are reduced.
It is also for Opening Day:
To go to the opening days on Wednesday 31st May and Wednesday 7th June in the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona, it will be necessary to make a reservation, but it is not necessary to be a full festival ticket holder or to pay a deposit. However, it will be necessary to be registered on AccessTicket to be eligible for reservations and attend the event.
Reservations will be available via AcessTicket starting May 16th at 12pm (CEST) for VIP full festival ticket holders and May 18th at 1pm (CEST) for full festival ticket holders and for those who don’t own a full festival ticket.
There is a maximum of two bookings per person and access is open to all ages. Both adults and children must have a reservation to access the concerts (children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian).
Remember that capacity and reservations are limited and that the event is subject to conditions.

I believe they’re holding a certain amount for each sale, obviously these are tiny venues and most of these will sell out immediately, and the ticket price for fest goers is just a deposit that you can use on drinks at the fest
Neither in mine, i just got the Email. I just downloaded the latest upgrade and i can see now the options to booked the Ciudad/Ciutat. Not enable of course, i believe the bus/Parking will be enable shortly.
I emailed last night though and got this:

We are having some problems with the booking system. Don´t worry, we'll try to fix it today. Otherwise, remember, the bus option is not a reservation, it's a probe we need to know to guarantee the good function of the bus.

This is probably right on. My only concern is the 48 hour gap VIP gets to reserve tickets. Hopefully it'll be staggered though so other people can get in.
This is going to be something that the city is happy with but the attendees that get shut out are gonna complain about.
They need to just go back to public spaces if it's truly about community imo.

Oh and in case the city needed another reason to be buzzing during the festival, the last game of the Spanish league season is on 6/3 and Barcelona will surely have won the league by that point and I’m sure the fans around the city will be hyped

I'd expect the VIP tickets to be capped but also if a big second-line act plays a 400-cap venue that's gonna be hard to get into regardless of how things are structured.
Just read VIP gets first crack at reservations and my ticket stress just went way down for Darkside.
Yeah, don't think we'll get any tickets doe anything. Last year we tried for the PC Music thing and also a club evening. Couldnt get tickets. Thanks to out double weekend passes we got in every evening where we wanted tho, except for the PC Music thing but then we just decided to go to Razz 1 next door. Think this year will be different. Think a lot of the issues Also came with that EVERYONE had access, so both W1 & 2, to La Ciutat when in reality that wasn't the case at all. False advertisement..
Compared to last year, a lot of those shows end at a really awkward time for being able to get transportation back to your lodging.
Me on those nights.
to be fair I probably shouldn’t be complaining about it ending early I have a pretty crazy flight itinerary on the way in: leaving Boston around 6 pm Memorial Day, 2 hour layover in Dublin from 5-7 AM, then arriving in Barcelona at 11 AM

Just realized you could conceivably add the Sala Apolo show and see Melody's Echo Chamber and Glass Beams to make it a full night out.

they’re only letting you buy 1 ticket per night, otherwise I would try for it
Go for smaller venue tix first, then bigger venues. I was able to get tix for the rina pre show, magnetic fields, phoenix/khruangbin/mag bay, AND Gizz/slowdive last year by using this method

Last time we just walked back. Razzmatazz was a 20 min walk, Apolo like 25. Easy. But ya, if you're really close to the festival or more towards the airport, then yeah..
