Wednesday talking shit about Amazon and recognizing NC brother garageland
HENDERSON, REPRESENT.
In a long drawn out story, I was only born there. My birth certificate is NC but I've lived in Richmond and beyond since then. I did briefly live in Eden with a few burnt out punk rock kids in the 90's though.

Finally home and slept in my own bed last night. Bummed Madrid didn't 100% work out the way they wanted but definitely no regrets going. Amazing few weeks and I'd definitely do it again if I could.
Finally got a chance to go watch some of the Amazon streams on YouTube and kinda blown away by how disinterested Blur seemed all set. They sounded excellent at the time, but Albarn looked bored. He was way more active and energetic with Gorillaz at the Coachella sets.
Going to Barcelona for the first time (not for the festival), any tips would be appreciated!
how long are you there for?
For just wandering around I prefer neighborhoods outside gothic quarter. Gracia is great and I've ended up in Santa andreu quite a bit the last 2 years.
I stayed in Eixample this go round and doubt I will stay anywhere else when I return. Plenty of restaurants and bodegas with a ton of Metro stops along the way. You're also close to a few historical sites.
If you're going for the beach, I'd suggest La Barceloneta. It's touristy but super fun. The further beaches are more quiet.
Even if you're not going to the festival, keep your eyes on the clubs as there's always shows. Sala Apolo and Razzmatazz are the big two to keep an eye on.
4 weeks later and Wednesday is still shitting on the primavera Amazon stage
Wait what did I miss here 🤣
saw them at first Ave and they were talking about how one of their pedals started fucking up in Europe. Joked that the crew that they were with for 3 shows sabotaged them because they were shitting on Amazon and going over their timeslot. Don't think they had a great time with primavera

5 days. Planning on just doing a lot of walking around and eating/drinking, probably not spending a lot of time at the beach.

Oh and its worth mentioning that while now allowed in most of Spain, Ubers are non-existent. Download Freenow for rides if the metro has stopped for the night.
