As people constantly remind you, you don’t *actually* play football for Clemson. Unless you are a legitimate top athlete you don’t need sports drink, and even then the benefits are marginal.
I guess it’s one of those things like ginger ale then. It doesn’t really help you but you feel like it does.
I'm going to be a wet sandwich and vote straight liquor. I've never enjoyed any hard liquor straight. I did do it a lot to keep up with my groups of friends that'd go hard, but I'd always just rather go beers, wine, or mixed drinks. Last few times I did shots of any straight liquor the night ended badly.
But yeah cider should probably go first.
I haven't done a shot in well over a decade. But nothing beats sipping a good bourbon.
Sports teams get paid an assload by gatorade and powerade...
...but tbf there is a benefit to drinking sports drinks during THAT hardcore of a workout. There are very, very few times in normal people life where the value of the carbs and electrolytes would outweigh the negatives of the sugar though.
I still drink them every now and then and am not voting for them.

I know it's not next level athleticism, but we didn't even drink sports drinks during roller derby. And that shit's fucking intense, let me tell you. We drank water (and beer/alcohol after the game, while leg wrestling). So on that note, bye-bye energy drinks.
Sports drinks have saved my sick ass one too many time to vote for them this early. Does anyone over the age of 10 actually enjoy virgin fruit juice?
I love the fuck out of it, but it has to be homemade. I went to the Chinese deli this morning to get a biscuit and bacon and it was only $3.50. They said I had to spend 5 dollars on my card, so I got an apple juice. I looked at the label and it was like 48 grams of sugar and had a list of ingredients. Give me any combination of apples, grapes, pineapples, pears, cucumbers, beets, carrots, ginger, celery, spinach, blueberries, etc. You're not getting a better tasting or healthier beverage unless I guess you can't tolerate fructose. Ask LoveLuckLaughter if you have any questions on fructose.

i went to a bar with a friend last night that had a really solid seasonal cocktails menu that intrigued me but then i looked down at the bourbons, and they had knob creek for $8. so had to go with that on the rocks instead, was delicious.

i was cider last round but i think i'm going with sports drinks. they only have utility in extreme athletic situations. cider at least has that new england autumnal vibe.
