bright eyes is another one that they keep whiffing on which seems inexplicable to me
This is a great booking. Newport doesn’t always get these sorts of folk-pop artists until after their popularity has had some time to mellow out. Grabbing Noah in his popularity prime, while he’s also playing Boston Calling, is fantastic.

I wouldn’t rule out Caamp -> Noah -> Maggie -> Headliner. Doesn’t seem far off thematically. Has Caamp played Fort stage yet? Would still be a promotion from Harbor and Museum stage sets. Doesn’t seem that much more heavy hitting than Warren Haynes -> Kacey Musgraves -> Sheryl Crow -> Phil Lesh
Surprise Coachella makes more sense. Most of them prolly already have a place in LA. If they’re practicing now, that would also fit with Coachella coming up.

I’ll add that if Nickel Creek is also on Friday, that’s another bigger act that last time played one of those prime main stage sets. Since that was their original reunion tour and some of the nostalgia seems to have died down, I could see a slight demotion. But also, I wouldn’t doubt we see Nickel Creek close the Quad while those other named acts play Fort.
Tyler Childers could be the Saturday headliner. He’s got nothing on his calendar for that weekend and is in NY/Boston/Maine in the first week of august
Just listened on the drive home and this is the first new artist (that I hadn't already heard of,) that I am really digging. Excited for the discovery.
