They just opened an express line to the left. If you have a small bag and/or small chair go all the way to the left. I jumped out of the main line and was in in 10 seconds.

Throwing out a last minute guess for a surprise guest. Zach Bryan and Jason isbell have been very active with each other on social media recently and ZB just flew into Boston last night. He also just posted a video of him listening to Isbells newest album. Just a thought.

I have FOMO about the music, but HOMO (Happiness Of Missing Out) about the heat.
After Saturday's thunderstorms in New England, Sunday is going to be cooler and sunny. Generally, it always seems to be cooler around here when you're right on the ocean, so I'd think that the heat will be less of an issue today in Newport than it is in, say, Providence.
An area club promoter was slated to do a free show in an office park in Somerville, MA on Saturday, but they've already moved it to the rain date on Sunday. I hope that Saturday doesn't get wiped out at Newport, with so many of the most appealing (imho) artists appearing on Saturday. It's the thunderstorms which may be the big weather issue this weekend, with the epicenter of the activity in late afternoon.
I won't be at the Folk festival but will be at the Jazz festival next weekend (Saturday and Sunday only), and I'm hoping for neither rain nor excessive heat. Went one day last year (Saturday I think) and the heat was really bad

The prospect of missing out on the hold steady (my wife’s favorite band) at Newport (our shared favorite place) was simply too much to bear and we paid an exorbitant price on the secondary market. Still over the moon that we’ll be there, even if the thunderstorms look threatening.
I’m seeing some stuff about shade and coolers on here. We’ve got that same little yeti cooler everyone has—soft sides hard interior—are y’all saying those won’t be allowed? I’m also curious if there’s a clear limit on shade. We’re bringing two kids and have to have it, but we brought one of those giant sunbrellas which sounds like it won’t be allowed. If anyone has an extra baby shade structure it would be incredible.
