I went to Bear Creek down in Suwanee FL way back in the day and had a blast. But I was good without having to listen funk for a couple of months after.
brrr creek was awesome, i went 2 or 3 times. definitely fulfilled whatever annual funk requirement one needs in their music diet lol.
it's a whole weekend of lots of bands hollering about "making it funky" and "where the funk at" and of course randomly shouting out "new orleans!!" late one weekend at the lettuce set me and my buddy were bugging out and dancing and suddenly grabbed our chairs and threw them for some reason and he screaming "tha funk!" and i screamed "new orleans!!!" and the people behind us thought it was the funniest thing they'd ever seen.
