Mods delete if not allowed, I didn't see this on two pages I looked at or a quick search, so I'll take the plunge.
Figure this'll serve as an all purpose thread of gardens, strain reviews, gear reviews, laws, and such. I'm an avid grower in a legal state, making the transition from the "fucked if I'm caught" to "here's ya 4 plants!" has been interesting, and a long damn time coming. I do a mix of indoor and outdoor in soil and some pollen chucking on the side for fun, I'm also a personal gardener for med patients at their residencies. Got a 4x8 tent with some cheapo LEDs for my indoor projects, got a few that I've been working on for the past five or six years now, pretty much got the line stabilized to what I want.
Lemme start us off with a few pics of my legally allowed 4 plants here, all bagseed to work through some backstock and find some potential gems. Germed in late April, out into 15 gal pots in May. We're well into preflower here, and starting to stack just a bit. I'm gonna chuck some pollen from last year, had a Tinfoil Hat male that had some funky and really lovely internodal spacing that I liked. Sorry for the Instagram embed, I didn't realize or don't know how to just upload pictures directly. 😅

It says $400 on their website but you can find it from their authorized retailers for $280 or so. From all the portable vapes I’ve tried, it’s the closest to having the power of a desktop on the go (made by the same people who make volcano). Quick heatup time, massive clouds, and great tasting vape. Also is very efficient so you stretch out your supply farther. I kinda hate the capsules I don’t use them lol some of my friends love them though.
For folks who use carts, I highly recommend the Vuber Pulse. It has tech that automatically reads the resistance of the coil in the vape, and auto-adjusts the voltage so that you get amazing flavor and there's no worry of burning or fiddling with temperature settings. They have a smaller version without a screen (Pulse Touch) that does the same thing, but I've heard the quality isn't as good as the OG Pulse. Carts have never tasted so good. Absolutely worth the $45.

I love that. I have this tangerine shit that smells like you just peeled one. It is slightly tangy/citrusy when you smoke it. Cannabis is one of my favorite smells.

The sheer varieties of terps in cannabis, and from pheno to pheno even in the same strain, is incredible. I had some Salmon River OG the other day that was 100% coffee and chocolate, absolutely wild!

Does the cheap ass weed we used to buy in bulk in college back in the early to mid 00s still exist? We had a name for it but I can't remember right now. The stuff that would take 4-5 hits before you felt anything? You'd relax, get the munchies, watch tv, and not feel like you just lost all ability to function for 5 hours. I miss that stuff. I haven't smoked in half a decade now because shit is too strong now. I just get paranoid and way too baked off 1-2 hits.

The way that dispensaries work, I really doubt that they want crappy dirt weed. Most of that is grown outdoors and have pesticides on them. Plus, there are strict regulations about the growth process and use of pesticides in the legal marijuana market. So maybe from that standpoint, you are correct and it doesn't exist anymore in legal dispensaries. But I know that it still exists in the illegal marijuana world. You can tell first off by the price, then by how it looks, tastes, smells and then by the seeds, stems and usually packed tight onto itself from being vacuumed sealed for smuggling.

I love making tincture, mainly because I suck at making butter lol.
Oh man, ever since I discovered that you can make it in the crockpot (double broiler style) my life has been changed.
Here is what I do after I decarb (which I just started doing not too long ago): 2 sticks of butter and 1 oz green wrapped tightly in cheesecloth put together in a jar. I then place the jar in the crockpot and fill the crockpot with water covering the butter/weed in the jar, then cook for 4 hrs. Once done cooking, wait until it cooks enough to remove the jar, take out the weed filled cheesecloth and squeeze all excess butter out.

I think some brands have tried to corner this market, Dad Weed is one I'm pretty sure. Mids are still around but not as prevalent, used to be the main cash cow for the cartels but legal weed has moved them onto harder stuff.

I walked into the dispensary in Seattle and said "give me your weakest shit" and the guy just laughed. Ended up with 18% THC prerolls lol. When it comes to weed I'd rather pace it more like pounding cheap beers as opposed to shots of liquor. I dont smoke very often and I really don't enjoy getting blitzed like I used to, except for certain scenarios.
