Let's get this thing going. Crazy that we're a month and a half from Coach tickets going on sale.
if you don’t mind me asking, how much was everything for your trip this year?
Just went back and calculated this. It was a bit pricier than I remember, so previously when I posted I think I might've missed my flight from BNA -> JFK.
Ticket: $357 Coach Package (to/from London): $77 Hotel in London (one night, private room so you could do a bit cheaper at a hostel): $75 Airfare: $1,200
I definitely could've saved money on airfare if I had been looking farther in advance, or if I'd gotten something with a longer layover. Not getting ticket until re-sale in March definitely limited my options. Generally you could get something roundtrip from either JFK or Logan to Heathrow for a good price. Someone who flies more might know better but I think $600-700 roundtrip from either of those two to one of the London area airports should be very doable (obviously add in from where your original destination would be.)
In general food and beer onsite are much cheaper than a festival like Bonnaroo, and there's a co-op where you can get some basic groceries. Most vendors have something called meals for a 5'er where you can get a 5 pound serving of food. I found these to generally be really good portions and a solid deal. Cheap beer/cider was around 5.5-6 pounds for a pint.

They headliner rumors aren't really doing anything for me at all with the exception of Elton. I've seen him twice now though so even him being rumored doesn't get me going like it would otherwise. Who cares though, there's like 50 other things going on at the same time.
Blur could be cool though. I think at the least being in a Glasto crowd for a quintessential English act would be nuts and is something I'd like to do that if possible next year.

Feel the same but for Pulp. I got a little taste of that with Primal Scream at a UK fest this year, was a world of difference from a US crowd.

wow that’s really not too bad. thank you!
You can save quite a bit of money at the fest when it comes to food for sure. You could eat for free all weekend if you went to the Hare Krishna tent and didnt mind vegeterian food. The fiver deals are everywhere but some dont advertise it so you should always ask.
And another breakdown of spending just for the fest. I stayed in the uk for 2 weeks in total so a lot of other expenses that arent accounted for.
Festival ticket: $350 Flight: $800ish ( 2019 prices ) 2 Night stay in Bath: $200 ( it was an apartment ) Train to Bath: $20 Coach to Glasto: $25 Train back to London: $45 Worthy View 2 person tent: $400 Spending money for the fest: £500

yeah i’ve gotta make it happen one year. thanks for the extra breakdown!
I had a longer/slightly different stay than most people here so I'm strictly including my Glastonbury purchases but my breakdown was as follows (everything converted to USD as of today):
-$1200 for flights round trip (I think? I can't find an exact receipt right now for some reason) -$738 for four nights at Worthy View for two people (so $369 solo; technically we got a four person tent which is why my number is higher than supre's) -$375 for coach passes -$65 for camping rentals (sleeping back, air mattress, pillow) from outdoorhire.co.uk -$70/day for food/drink for the days I spent drinking. Also note at this festival there are zero restrictions for outside food/liquor, so you have the potential to save a lot on this front -I also spent like $15 on a pair of wellies from an outdoor store in Birmingham lol
My dad had a lot of Marriott points which covered my stay at the hotel in London near Heathrow so I can't say much about how much that would cost; I would recommend at least staying the night before the coach departure near the Victoria Coach Station, which could potentially be pricey. hope that helps from a slightly different perspective
I guess it’s an official Glastonbury thread since headoverfeet2021 has put in her request for Alanis. Want me to lock up the old one that shuck wrote a novel in?

Those dates make Harry unlikely, imo. Not as unlikely as, say, Coldplay, but he doesn’t have back to back dates scheduled anywhere, especially cross border/eurozone.
