I'm sure that the crowd/farm is overwhelming, but the chance to see so many good UK acts that you'd be lucky to catch even if you lived in NYC is too good to pass up. I want to go so bad.
On my way back to London from the fest. Foo Fighters were the most packed set of the weekend. Queens of the Stone Age and Chemical Brothers ripped. Fred again is the real deal. Ben Bohmer was my favorite set of the weekend. If anyone is afraid to go to this because of the crowd size I would not let that hold you back as you would undoubtedly be missing one of the greatest festivals in the world. When I get sometime I’ll try to write back on what I saw/did. Great weekend. Great music. Excellent festival.

Would you say the Foos were more packed than Elton John? EJ crowd looked massive. My old roommate says it was an all-timer set for him as well. Sounds like a blast, definitely a bucket list fest for me.

I dont think foos had more than Elton from the photos. They did one way entry and exit for elton and the field was filling up hours before he came on. And you can compare crowd sizes from the other sets during foos or elton to see. But anyone that was on sunday night was pretty empty. Qotsa went back to soundboard barely. Phoenix was empty.

I would say they were about equal. There was only one set from I saw that filled The Other and that was Fred. Besides that, most of the Other crowds were comparable to what QOTSA drew. They were also shutting down various entrances throughout the fest. It wasn’t just for Elton. Plenty of people were in and out of the Pyramid area all day as it ran Cat > Blondie > Lil Nas > Elton. I was up front for Lil Nas X and a lot of people left after his set, myself included. FF covered literally the entire field, so I don’t know how it could get any bigger. Their 4 PM headliner set seemed to bring out the entire festival. Here’s a link of my view below.
I wonder if “female headliner who’s never played before” is referring to someone different then or if Emily really tried for Taylor and just didn’t stick the landing.

I think when Emily said she expected Taylor back within 5 years she knew there was a giant af tour coming so just had to work something else out. Now its going to be interesting because lets say Madonna moves all the north america dates to next summer, then what do you do. Cause either she was possible or it wasnt a done deal and the dates that are announced take priority. And if you wanna take the Rihanna theory and go with it then maybe thats it. But we wont know til it happens.
