Of course now that I’ve said that it’ll end up being Pink or some bullshit
Well Pink is at Hyde that same weekend so ya never know.
Overall this first poster is ok and quantity wise its well short. Some 2020 makeups in there and then a few rare ones as usual but I wouldnt go see any of the 3 headliners this time just cause.
This is a bit of a concern though I think for them long term. There gonna be just a lot of dj's everywhere and less bands at the smaller stages like last year?
In October, Glastonbury made headlines when it announced that ticket prices would rise by £55 to £340 (including booking fee). “We put it up [by] the minimum we could,” said Eavis. “In order to do the exact same show as last time, we would have had to put £100 on the ticket. That’s the amount that costs have gone up.”
Lana put the poster on IG and captioned it with "Well I'm actually headlining the 2nd stage. But since there was no consideration for announcing that. We'll see."

lmfao
She gonna tell em to scrap Elton or something so she can be on Pyramid? 🤣
How can y'all call a lineup that has The War On Drugs on it disappointing? They were all that I wanted!
You want to tell them who you really are, or do you want me to?
alright, i'm just xfinitypass doing a silly bit. My bad, didn't realize it was a big enough deal for the mods to come after me, just trying to entertain

Never been to the fest but the girl I am dating now is from Ireland so im prob spending a good chunk of next summer in the UK area. How is this fest compared to stuff like Coachella / Roo / Lolla ? Worth a visit? Is racism really bad over in the UK? Is Chicken tikka masalla really a British dish?

I can have an extended convo over PM with you about my time last summer but I’m VERY local to the Coachella area (makes me very brown) so I can speak to diversity at the farm which there’s a surprising amount of it felt. Coachella is built on the Glastonbury format in that it’s a multi genre festival with camping, but it’s nearly a must you camp at Glasto, no other option. Totally different financial backgrounds and since cost of living in the UK is much lower than SoCal, felt like I was getting a deal on most food and drink, especially with the absence of tip culture. Can speak on Glasto all day, just had such a blast

Thanks! I'll check out some vlogs, sounds pretty cool
I had a chicken tikka masala wrap on Sunday and it was very good. Also imo people tend to be more interested in your accent and your Americanness more than anything else.

I've been to both Coachella (2019) and Glasto (2022). Glasto is just huge, the site is about the size of my city, and there's so much to do and see at any time of the day and night. It's a lot different compared to Coachella: the camping is inside the "arena", meaning you don't have to re-enter the festival every time you go back to your tent, the food and drink prices are much cheaper and there's a lot more options, there's a good chance of rain (when i went last year there was none for most of the time, but there are years where it gets muddy af), and the music is, expectedly, much more british-leaning.
Overall Glastonbury seemed like a whole different world to me, while Coachella, although great music-wise, felt like a city-festival built in the desert, compared to it.
This just got me very excited. Highlights for me are SBTRKT, Max Cooper, Barry Can't Swim, Paranoid London, Nia Archives, Folamour, Jayda G, Palms Trax, Daphni, Daniel Avery, Moxie b2b Vyneall, Ben UFO b2b Pangea, Joy Anon, etc. Pumped to add some different stuff to my Glastonbury playlist outside of Elton, Lizzo, and Yusuf.

I think when it comes to the food and drink thing the vendors at glasto know theyre going to be open almost 24/7 for 5 days and will sell so much food/drink that prices can be lower. They also make a good chunk of them offer a £5 special on food items. Prices did tick up last year and thats expected. I mean there is currency conversion on the american end to figure when buying stuff but it will cost less though than coach for a meal easily. And you could eat for free all weekend if you went to the hare krishna tent too and like vegeterian. Its worth a visit if you can get a ticket for starters. Just dont expect to be able to jump around from stage to stage seeing everyone cause its not doable. Split sets are an unlikely thing unless the stages are in the same are of the fest.
