most of our team is still young enough to play in the Olympics. I really don’t think this is a golden generation anyway. We should just keep producing better players.
Agree on all fronts. US has a gaggle of good young players that’ll be better in 26. Maybe they find a couple more along the way. That’s it. The golden generation talk needs to calm the fuck down. Even then, Portugal in the 2000s with CR7, Figo, and Deco and Belgium more recently had real golden generations that never won trophies - let alone a World Cup. Expectations should be adjusted accordingly.
Argentina w/ Messi also comes to mind.
edit: and if we'd won against France in 2018, we would've probably won against Croatia. That game and the one against Brazil are probably this generation's best games they've ever played. The luck they had against Brazil, they didn't have against France. And that's football.

Yeah, Im sure Fox is pissed at Croatia for potentially fucking up their ratings bonanza. Cant imagine how they would feel if Morroco played Croatia in the final.
