Best pizza in your area?
Lefty's is my go to here in San Diego, even though some people from Chicago swear it isn't "real". But the owner is from Chicago and it tastes good so I'll happily eat it despite any pizza grouches complaints on yelp.

Best pizza in NYC is a tough one. There are so many classic spots. I’ll keep it more local and shout out Sac’s Place, the best pizza in my neighborhood of Astoria, Queens. Also, the best deep dish I’ve had, including the times I’ve tried it in Chicago, is Emmett’s in the West Village in Manhattan. Super dank.
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?

boludo is my favorite. Argentinian style pizza.2nd probably young joni. Wood fired with broccolini, mozzarella, french feta, castelvetrano olives, garlic, calabrian chili, preserved lemon, almonds. 3rd is heggis frozen pizza in a dive bar with a Hamm's.
Buffalo is known for cup and char pepperoni on its pizza. It's delicious. But I no longer eat pork so I'm sad.
Probably the best pizza I've had here is a stinger pizza from Picassos. Blue cheese and wing sauce. Chicken fingers. Steak. Fried onions. But I've stopped eating beef so I'm sad.
So now my go to is a buffalo chicken pizza from Pescis Pizza. Blue cheese base. Breaded chicken fingers tossed in wing sauce. Mozzarella. A drizzle of wing sauce on top.
There are several places I've lived where Dominos, Papa John's or Pizza Hut were the best options. That's never a good sign. Happy to have a half dozen good pizza places within twenty-five minutes of me now.
we don't really have great pizza anywhere here. i probably shouldn't talk about pizza with any authority. whenever i'm in NYC i pop into any pizza place, even if it has like 2.5 stars on google, and i'm like "this is the best food i've ever had".
having said that, last summer we went to a place on the UWS called "Made in New York Pizza" which by the name sounds like it would be some terrible generic tourist trap, but i swear it was the best food i ever had. in defense of my pallette, we sat down next to an older local couple that were like "what are yall* doing on the upper west side and how did you find our favorite pizza place" so maybe it was legit great pizza.
*they probably didn't say yall, since they were new yorkers they probably said "youse motherfuckers i'm walkin here"

The best pizza in the Albany area is DeFazio’s. Order a pie, have a bottle of wine, get a cannoli for dessert. So good. I miss living around the corner.

Where/when I lived in Troy, Pizza Hut was the best option. And it sucked. Like, on multiple occasions they just closed and went home instead of delivering our food. And also on multiple occasions they called back after I'd placed my order to say that THEY WERE OUT OF PIZZA.
We eventually found a decent place almost in East Greenbush, though.
Ciao in Chelsea will change your life. you need to try it if you ever find yourself in boston. best ive had by far. otherwise my go to is usually santarpios

Best pizza ever was the second floor of the mall that was further away from my house than our local mall. My mom worked there (in a shoe store) when I w was a kid and no place has gotten close to the crispy crust they had. Eating at the place and not transporting the pizza 15-30 minutes helps.
Since then my favorite was a place near my old office. Their buffalo chicken slice was fantastic.
Have tried deep dish Chicago style in Chicago and it wasnt for me. Crispy and thinner crust for me. I learned a few years ago that "cook it well done" is not just for steak

The Pizza Hut by HVCC? You were so close to a decent slice! Deli & Brew next door. Their sauce is a bit sweet for me though.

That Pizza Hut closed a long time ago.
It closed while I lived there. We were in the apartment complex behind it. I'd get subs at the deli & brew pretty frequently. Don't think I ever knew they had pizza. They did carry a coffee flavored soda that was weird, though.

When we lived in Atlanta, there was a place in a shopping center on Ponce that we loved (there used to be a murder Kroger there, but I think it’s a music venue now?). They had a pizza that they put thinly sliced potatoes on that was so good.
When we lived in Las Vegas, there was a place called Red Rock Pizza that we loved. It was near our home, and they had a variety of very tasty pizzas. We ate there twice a week sometimes (often).
Now we live in Macon. There’s a place called Macon Pizza Company that is very decent, but it’s too far for delivery and too small to eat there. When we were in the apartment, we got delivery from the standard places sometimes, but now Domino’s is the only one that delivers to us, and we have only done that once since we moved. Mostly now, we go to Mellow Mushroom, which we do like a lot and they have pitchers of beer, but we don’t really have a place to eat pizza at home, which is kind of a bummer.
We’ve had an issue in the last couple of years with getting pizza from places where it is very undercooked. We had to stay in a motel a few months back, and we ordered from Papa John’s for the first time in forever. They had an option to order it well done, and we tried that, and it seemed like it was just properly done. Is less cooked a way that some people do pizza now or have we just been unlucky?

My favorite pizza place in Harrisburg was at the Broad St Market until they opened their own brick and mortar. It was called Knead. They had the best gluten free pizza my wife has ever had, and I would eat it and not know it was gluten free. Their "honey badger" especially made me happy - pepperoni, hot honey, basil. They also had one with bacon, jalapenos, and pineapple that was my other go to.
Sadly, about two months ago they revealed themselves. Their employees filed for a union election with the NLRB, and the owners closed within 3 days. I was eating scab pizza all along! I don't know all of the details, and I know it's a rough time for small businesses. I just didn't like the way that looked.
I am lucky to live in a real destination area filled with millions of options. I have a few favorites: Bro's Dough (Hartford), Pepe's (West Hartford), or Joey's Pizza (West Hartford) which are all New Haven-style. Used to love Harry's too, but the location I loved closed and the other is just not convenient. If I am in the mood for Greek, I go to George's (Hartford). There's probably 20+ places within ten minutes of me, most of which I would be happy to have on any given day.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I feel like they just make a bunch of pies for the lunch rush and then never make anymore for slices.
That place has always had the absolute weirdest drink selection.

It was cool to have something with decent subs just around the corner. Plus a Stewarts right down the hill. I could also get Dinosaur BBQ delivered which was awesome.
