I see we are going the indie synth route this year! I'm not as immediately excited as the last two lineups (I had no idea The Bravery even still existed) but will undoubtedly end up going. Can finally see Caribou and Fever Ray, and though I have actively avoided seeing MGMT since their "Congratulations" show was quite possibly the worst concert I've seen in my life, performing the debut gets me to "Okay, fine". Third line rules, arguably better than the second line.
We're getting into some repeats already. Peaches destroyed last year, so I'm fine rebooking her for consecutive installments.

I think I'm coming. Flights into Burbank are redic - has anyone in the area used public transit to get from LAX to Pasadena? Idc how long it takes I just don't want to spend $100 on an uber

Easy to take the FlyAway to Union Station and then the Gold Line to Pasadena.

Just take the flyaway shuttle to union station from LAX. Thats $9 and then you can take the gold line into pasadena for $2 and sort yourself from there.

Yeah, I'm very torn between "I'm gonna wait for this thing to drop to $60 again so I don't make the same mistake twice" and "With only 4 months, this thing might get straight up canceled if enough people don't buy from them directly".
Either way, I think JLH should probably take a year or two off after this to let some more indie acts "graduate" to nostalgia status.
I imagine Arcade Fire wouldve been a contender to be the headliner, but ya know. Would be nice if they had gotten a few more dj's. Maybe even tried to do like Ed Banger acts just in the dance stage area.
So now the list of potential acts that havent done it has shrank a little more.

I don’t think my one ticket will stop it cancelling so I’ll just wait lol. Hoping for a smoking grooves return. There’s so much new R&B they can book now
Live Nation were smart to overload their nostalgia festivals with bands so it guarantees a sell out, logistics be damned. Although I love the line up, I can see people not caring to travel across country for it.
Very cool MGMT, now do all of Congratulations please
Congratulations will always be my fave.
Same but this quote intrigues me
“ MGMT says, "We are psyched to be returning to Just Like Heaven festival this May. Coinciding with the 15th year of its release, we will be performing all of Oracular Spectacular. And of course we’ll be taking this opportunity to do some hearty experimentation. Expect the unexpected and see you in May!”
They’re gonna piss off some people lol, it will be great
I don’t get why Peaches is billed as high. They play all the time, in the period of their career of doing 10 year anniversary shows and hasn’t released anything notable lately. At least with rare acts like Bravery and Fever Ray, they don’t play out anymore and someone like Metronomy has had a long consistent career. I’m pretty sure STRFKR were playing bigger venues than Peaches on their last tours.
