Even M83's billing surprises me a little. Empire and Future Islands are only like 2 years closer removed from their one surprising breakthrough hit, and neither are as acclaimed in general. (And yes, Future Islands slaps live, but they're not remotely difficult to catch any year.)

I definitely liked the 2019 and 2021 lineups better but this lineup also has a lot that I want to see so I'll be there. I'm just glad they use that rotating stage because conflicts would be so much worse.
My must sees (hoping the majority of these are on the main/rotating stage): YYY, Future Islands, EotS, M83, Hot Chip, Caribou, The Walkmen, Fever Ray, The Faint
Bonus sets: MGMT, The Bravery, Ladytron, Metronomy
I'd imagine that the second stage will mostly be EotS, HotChip, Caribou, Fever Ray which probably means conflicts are going to suck for me.

I was lookin at schedules from previous years and was really confused as to how set changes were so quick
Hoping resale dips hard because I NEED to see Oracular Spectacular
Same! Last year I found a free tix, but then couldn’t go due to an emergency. Hopefully they price everyone out of this and secondary market has some deals. Or they throw around discounts on Goldstar.
I think M83 or Empire get to close the second stage given their billing. MIA was in a similar spot. And Fever Ray needs to be at night so they could be second to last on the second stage. They wouldnt be able to get a high enough main stage slow with their billing. Maybe they make the second stage a spinning one also.

They had 3 of the stage at WWWY use em. It was the only way to fit everyone in.

yeah, the main stage rotates so it's super quick between stages. in fact, 2019 the next act would start playing right as the stage started rotating so you'd here them from behind the stage.

Damn this lineup is absolutely perfect for my tastes. Never thought I'd be down for a single day fest but I missed out on Metronomy and STRFKR last year due to cancellations/rescheduled shows and I need to see YYYs on this album cycle.
Its a golf course. Map of last year. Likely wont change. There is a free shuttle that runs from old town to the fest. Parking next to it is $10 all day.
Honestly pretty good, better and nicer than LA State Park or the Queen Mary park where they used to (and still do) hold these types of things. Surrounded by a very nice hillside. If you're coming from out of town, just don't rideshare to/from the venue itself and instead go to the shuttle lot.

That this dropped the same day as GovBall is just making it all the worse that the L.A. job I near-missed on last year didn't work out. This would be a kick-ass day for my tastes.
What's a good Future Islands song that isn't Seasons Change?
In addition to what’s been mentioned already, I’m partial to: Back in the Tall Grass, A Dream of You and Me, Cave, Through the Roses, and For Sure. All kinda fall into the same sonic niche, so if you like one you’ll probably like them all.
Really want to make this happen. M83, YYYs, EOTS, MGMT are all acts that I’ve wanted to see for years but have never gotten the chance.
I am a little worried about the potential conflicts though. Clearly YYYs will be unopposed. I’m guessing Future Islands will be second to last on the main stage given billing. Like Supre mentioned I feel like M83 or EOTS will close the second stage. Chromeo was second to last on the second stage last year and he was billed 7th. I’m guessing Hot Chip or Caribou take that slot.
If the above holds true, then I would be able to see all of M83, YYYs, EOTS, MGMT. How likely do you all think this is how scheduling plays out?
EDIT: Just realized MGMT is second on the bill. Guessing they conflict with M83

I was able to see almost everyone I wanted to last year, I think Santigold was the only one I had to sacrifice. There is some overlap between the stages, but they're not 1:1 conflicts usually.
My case for M83 closing the smaller stage is that I just can't envision M83's show with any daylight whatsoever. I think anything that robs Anthony of his light show will actively make the set worse, whereas I can see Empire or Hot Chip getting away with a sunset show. I assume MGMT will sub the main stage, and last year, the sun set just before Modest Mouse's set in that slot.
