And if they split it into multiple seasons that gives them time to come up with . more story If they want to for the future. But they may want to bow out at 3 seasons if the quality remains this level. 3 perfect seasons would rock
I know nothing about the games but I’ve read elsewhere that it’s supposed to be 3 seasons as well.
I don’t know how others would feel, but if the success continues for it’s entire duration, it feels like a world where spin-offs could easily be created to expand it into a mega franchise.

Supposedly a third game is in the works and it's speculated that would be the final game. So if that's true and the show would include that as well, I'm guessing five seasons.
I guess there could be spin-offs but I have a hard time seeing Druckmann wanting to do that.

For the right amount of $, Druckmann would do it. And even if he didn't want to, while he's the head honcho at Naughty Dog, he's still beholden to Sony executives, and they could and probably would overrule him if they thought it would make a ton of $.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Great episode. Pedro Pascal talk with Tommy is up there with some of his best acting ever. Just heartbreaking and I love how they are keeping the focus on him losing another daughter even more than the game did. They are definitely rushing through the first game though but that's not a bad thing. That's what happens when you remove all the playable moments. Does anyone know how many episodes this season is supposed to be?
The girl who was staring at Ellie then was spooked away was Dina, right? It looked incredibly similar to her and would make sense for her first interaction to be then.

Cool to catch up with Tommy again. He's got a pretty good thing going at the settlement but TWD has ruined me and I kept waiting for them to be cannibals or something.
Fireflies must be a pretty bad organization since everytime we see them they either fell apart, left, or died. Maybe SLC will be different.
That ending is a giant WTF. Joel can't die, right? I mean, not yet at least? Maybe those people from the lab aren't baddies and they'll save him?
Never let me down again was a great callback but hopefully it doesn't have the same meaning

Hey, I added a spoiler tag around one part. It's not reaasallly a spoiler what you posted but there are people here who haven't played the game and don't know what to expect

And a general reminder to everyone - if it is from the game or sequel game, or is a leaked photo or something from set please use spoiler tags and briefly label what the spoiler comment is about.
Try to stick to only what has aired so far in the regular discussion for everyone who has no idea where the story may go or details about characters (that we've met 9r haven't met yet).
Even if discussing the preview for next episode.......please don't discuss what you may know based on the games. Seems like the pre iew was designed a certain way on purpose

It never occurred to me it would be dina. I was barely noticing her and thought nothing of it. That's so cool if it was planned.
It also made me think of the Convo between Joel and Ellie about how he'd want a ranch in the middle of nowhere with sheep. I just got up to the part In TLoU2 where Ellie and Dina are on a ranch with sheep. So cool.
Was sad we didn't see the same kind of moment with Tommy from the game when he is noticing the relationship between Joel and Ellie was deeper than expected. It's the moment in the game where he realizes he has to go with them a bit and talk to maria about it. He witnesses Ellie and Joel acting like concerned father and daughter and he knows he has to do it

Loved all the stunning scenery in this ep. I think they film in Canada but wherever they shot is a good match for the part of Wyoming represented. Normally I find the precocious kid with lotsa quips trope to be grating but I really like Ellie. Her telling Joel she'd be lost/scared without him was a nice moment of vulnerability and reminder that despite the swearing and shooting she's still just a kid with no family. I'd be shocked if Joel is dead but who knows. The preview for next week reads like an Ellie flashback and that'd make sense to give us an extra week of suspense over Joel's fate. Also, I kept trying to place Maria's actress. Looked her up after the ep and I know her from True Blood. If ever there was a reason to be thankful TLOU has a thought-out end point, that show is it.

Almost positive I recognized actual Texas in the first few episodes but I could be wrong
